Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California
The CYOSC has four different string ensembles that are appropriate for all ages and skill levels. The ensembles perform in four concerts throughout the season, and students have the opportunity to learn from qualified instructors in the music field without the stress of chair testing. Cerritos College offers two ensemble opportunities for musicians (ages 12+). Their community orchestra consists of strings, winds, and percussion instruments, while their community band consists of winds and percussion instruments only. Musique Sur La Mer
MSLM offers a variety of ensemble opportunities to members of its Youth Symphony Orchestra (ages 12-25). This is a traveling orchestra, with potential international performance opportunities.
