Mission San Juan Capistrano

Visit the historic chapel, landmark and museum at the San Juan Capistrano Mission.

Mission San Juan Capistrano showcases historic and religious artifacts, 18th-20th century paintings, and an interpretive room dedicated to Native American art. In the South Wing Padres Quarters, the Mission features a permanent collection of artifacts belonging to the padres who lived there in the 18th century.

Guided tours, audio tours, and special tours just for 4th graders are available. Their guides walk you through the 10 acres of museum rooms, exhibits, gardens, fountains and more.  Guides also provide details of California’s early history and the birthplace of Orange County. Visit their website for a complete list of the different types of tours available to the public.

Be sure to see what fun and engaging activities Teachers and Kids can do while you’re there.  Check out their online calendar for special events.
