Los Angeles County Museum of Art

LACMA is the largest art museum in the western United States, with a collection of more than 142,000 objects that illuminate 6,000 years of artistic expression across the globe.

Children and teens can join NexGenLA, a free membership for kids under 17 years who live in L.A. County. As NexGenLA members, kids and teens can visit the museum for free anytime, as well as bring one guest for free admission.

Family activities include painting in the Boone Children’s Gallery, Family Days with tours, art-making on Sundays, story times, art classes/workshops, and art camps.

Family Guides for kids (6-12) are available at the ticket office.

While there, be sure to visit LACMA’s Broad Contemporary Art Museum to see more than a thousand miniature cars zooming through Chris Burden’s kinetic sculpture, Metropolis II.
