Dreams for Schools – Virtual STEM Camps
Dreams for Schools is an education non-profit in Orange County, that makes STEM approachable and accessible for all. To help students continue learning about technology and engineering during the summer, Dreams for Schools has developed Virtual Summer Camps for kids in 1st-8th Grades.
Virtual Summer Camps:
STEM Heroes | 1st – 3rd Grade
Learn about the world of STEM and it’s myriad of heroes, industries, and notable figures. Activities include arts and crafts, designing and creating heroes, and much more!
Coding Games with Scratch | 3rd – 5th Grade
Students will learn the foundations of computer science and programming logic by using Scratch to create their own games, animations, and stories.
Engineering for Kids | 3rd – 5th Grade
At-home engineering and electronics projects helps kids understand how things work, build critical thinking and problem solving skills, and express their imagination.
Web Development | 6th – 8th Grade
Students will make a custom website by learning the fundamentals of HTML and CSS using the REPL.IT IDE software program.
Personalized Learning = 5 students : 1 instructor
Class Structure = 2 weeks / Monday – Friday / 1 hour classes
