CHILDREN’S MUSEUM AT LA HABRA, LA HABRA
Children’s Museum at La Habra provides unique, hands-on educational and cultural experiences to young children.
The newest exhibit, American Native: First Nations Tales, explores the stories of fifteen tribes from four regions of the United States. Visitors can put on a pair of moccasins, enter a Plains teepee, sit in a Makah-style canoe, touch a totem pole, play Tongva games and musical instruments, and lots more.
Construct an endless amount of structures in the STEAM Lab, play with miniature trains in the Train Station Gallery, ride an authentic, hand-carved Dentzel Carousel, uncover dinosaur fossils at the Dig Site, and dress up as community heroes.
Admission: $12 per person (ages 2+), $11 for La Habra residents, $10 for military, first responders, and seniors (ages 65+).
KIDSPACE CHILDREN’S MUSEUM, PASADENA
Hands-on exhibits, both indoor and outdoor, designed to encourage a child’s growth in development through exploration of the environment, investigation in science, and artistic expression.
Outdoor spaces invite children to climb into a giant hawk’s nest, splash in naturalistic water features, bring out their inner musician, get physical with rockets and giant levers, and ride trikes on a twisty mini-highway track.
Inside indoor galleries, children can peek into an active beehive, create and invent in Imagination Workshop, explore a giant ant tunnel, and climb towers.
Recommended for children ages 10 and under. Admission: $14.95 per person (ages 1+), $12.95 for seniors (ages 62+). Discounted tickets available for Friday and Saturday evenings (4-7pm), $12 for adults and $10 for kids.
Home of Professor Phineas T. Pennypickle, filled with hands-on inventions, gadgets and experiments that encourage children to discover science through play. Workshops, Kids Only Club events, birthday party packages, and other special events offered. Admission: $10 per child (18 months+), $5 per adult (18+) (except for special events).
PRETEND CITY CHILDREN’S MUSEUM, IRVINE
Pretend City Museum provides children with access to a city that’s all their own! Through hands-on experiences children learn foundational concepts while pursuing curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and team work. They can run a UPS Store and deliver packages, grocery shop at Trader Joes, play dentist and doctor in the medical center, fish and race boats in the marina, change spark plugs on a race car, run a restaurant, work on a farm, rescue a house on fire, and build structures of all shapes and sizes; all while being exposed to cultures, religions, and lifestyles different from their own.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CHILDREN’S MUSEUM, PASADENA
Southern California Children’s Museum is an indoor play space that emphasizes gross motor development through high-energy physical activities and sociodramatic learning in imaginative role-play spaces.
Little ones can explore various exhibits, including Wild California (inspired by the Huntington Beach Pier), where kids can “surf” and “fish” off the pier. Fun weekly events also offered including Story & Craft, Bilingual Circle Time, Saturday Sing-Along, and more.
Admission: $8 for adults and children ages 1 and over.
