OCTOBER 1-31: The Halloween spirit will be in full swing for 31 frightfully fun days with open-air live shows, animal pumpkin feedings, themed photo ops, education stations, and much more.
OCTOBER 1-31: All month long, kids 12 and under receive FREE admission with a paid adult to more than 50 of San Diego County’s favorite museums, historic sites, aquariums, gardens and more. Many are even free for the whole family.
OCTOBER 1-31: Come march, dance, and strut the orange catwalk in the fanciful Halloween parade. Enjoy pumpkin decorating , mask making, and up-close visits with some not-too-scary animal friends. Costumes encouraged.

NOW THRU NOVEMBER: Mr. Rex (Supersaurus) and Dinny (Pumpkinsaurus) are decked out in their fall costumes until the first week of November.
OCTOBER 6-31: The world-famous hayride features new terrifying attractions including the Town Square of Midnight Falls, Midnight Mortuary, Laughterhouse, plus the ghoulish Monte Revolta and his Band of the Living Dead performing nightly.
OCTOBER 18 - NOVEMBER 12: Learn about the interesting history, folklore, and art of monumental brasses. Choose from more than 100 reproduction-engraved plates of brass to do a rubbing. A trained instructor will provide rag paper, metallic waxes, and instructions for you to create your rubbing masterpiece
OCTOBER 25 - NOVEMBER 2: The nightly celebration begins in the plaza with Novenario Procession, featuring blessings, "living muertos", and free sweet bread. Visit community altars, enjoy live entertainment, face painting, and La Danza de la Muerte, a vibrant theatrical performance that tells the story of Día de los Muertos.
OCTOBER 19-30: Explore a neighborhood of Victorian manors and haunted houses where the neighbors are dying to celebrate Halloween. Cemetery Lane features 13 themed trick-r-treat stops and other surprises for kids of all ages.
OCTOBER 21-23 & 28-30: This annual event includes, trick-or-treating, costume contests, pumpkin carving, kids’ carnival tent, campfire and ghost stories, games, live entertainment stage shows, haunted attractions and more.
OCTOBER 28-30: Based on the infamous legends of Turnbull Canyon, Beyond the Gates of Turnbull is a haunted house-maze with scare actors and special effects designed to scare all visitors.
OCTOBER 29-30: Union Station transforms into a Halloween village, a free two-day, family-friendly extravaganza.
OCTOBER 22-30: Enjoy two weekends of family fun with interactive trick or treating, scavenger hunt, photo ops, food trucks, free kids crafts, wildlife programs, and meet and greets.
OCTOBER 29-30:Tour altars or ofrendas at most of the businesses in Old Town. Enjoy face painting, food and entertainment throughout the community.
OCTOBER 23-24 & 29-30: Follow a fun Halloween trail through the zoo during extended admission hours. You'll discover "merry, not scary" decorations along the way, making this an activity the whole family can enjoy together, wearing family-friendly costumes and taking photos.
OCTOBER 29-30: Leonardo! tells the story of a monster who longs to be scary and the big decisions about identity and empathy that we all must make. This live theater production is adapted from the beloved children’s books by Mo Willems, and realized through live actors, 3D puppets, DIY cinema, and immersive sound.
OCTOBER 29-30: Enjoy costume and coloring contests, a vampire magician, underwater pumpkin carving, creepy critters, and more.
OCTOBER 8-30: Now in its 16th sell-out year, the classic musical tale tells the story of a sweet girl named Candy, who learns lessons about life, love, laughter, and sugar from a delightful array of colorful characters, who take her on a magical adventure to save Halloween.
OCTOBER 6-31: Dress the kids in their favorite costumes, join Pumpkinology 101 activities, and dance to Halloween-themed music at the fun Pumpkin Palooza Dance Party.

OCTOBER 6-30: Experience a world-class car wash through a haunted tunnel! The Tunnel of Terror car wash is a carefully curated experience, with scary and creepy performers popping up throughout the wash, and special effects providing a terrifying ambiance.
OCTOBER 30 & NOVEMBER 2: The lively community festivals honor the memories of the dead while illuminating the rich history of the holiday with community altars, cultural expressions, folkloric dance group, and mariachi music.
SEPTEMBER 16 - OCTOBER 31: Howl-O-Scream has arrived to transform the peaceful SeaWorld San Diego park into something sinister featuring haunted houses, scare zones, roaming haunts, live entertainment, thrilling rides, and more. Recommended for ages 13 and up.
SEPTEMBER 23 - OCTOBER 30: Castle Park transforms into fright-filled Castle Dark as frightening characters on every corner haunt three new mazes. Recommended for ages 13 and up. Visit during the daytime on weekends for a family-friendly Dia de los Muertos celebration.

SEPTEMBER 17 - OCTOBER 30: Enjoy trick-or-treating around the park, Halloween-themed shows, the Sesame Street Halloween Parade, Dance Party, Spot-the-Ghost Scavenger Hunt, Sesame Street-themed dry and wet rides, games, and photo ops with everyone's favorite furry friends dressed up in costume.
OCTOBER 22-23 & 30-31: Go on a Bearcat BOO! Flashlight tour to get to know nocturnal animals. Plus, enjoy candy stations and apple cider.

AUGUST 26 - OCTOBER 31: Experience what life was like for the pioneers of the American Frontier. The Farm Fair features haybale pulling, candle dipping, toy making, and corn maze.
SEPTEMBER 18 - NOVEMBER 27: Walk among spiders and their magnificent webs in this unique, open-air experience. Talk to educators and see enclosed habitats of tarantulas, wolf spiders, and jumping spider.
OCTOBER 30: Come in costume and trick-or-treat thru the city. Make a pumpkin and a monster, enjoy themed story times, and a Halloween-themed sensory activity.
SATURDAYS, SEPTEMBER 17 - OCTOBER 29 & 30: Brick-or-Treat features an all-new Monster Party with limited-time attractions, character meet and greets, costume contest, and trick-or-treating. Plus, don't miss the all-new 4D Movie: The Great Monster Chase.

SATURDAY & SUNDAYS, NOW - DECEMBER 31, 2022: Have a blast making art from upcycled materials. Your table is stocked with curated recycled materials and "rediscovered" offcuts and scraps from local manufacturers, along with freshly sanitized crafting tools and kid-friendly fasteners.
