AUGUST 5 - SEPTEMBER 7: Visit the mythical world of Westeros, the Targaryen Dynasty, and the dragons that ruled beside them. Attendees will be the first to see new costumes and props from the series and have the chance to sit on a replica of the new Iron Throne.
AUGUST 23: The tooth fairy will be handing out toothbrushes, posing for photos, and interacting with children. Get free dental screenings, enjoy story time and puppet show, play with different types of toothpaste, and visit with pre-dental undergraduate students from UCI.
JUNE 24 - AUGUST 28: Shop unique artwork and enjoy live music, roaming entertainment, daily art demonstrations and a variety of food and drink offerings.
NOW - SEPTEMBER 5: Learn how paleontologists unearth dinosaur bones, dig in the dinosaur pit, and get a chance to collect several dinosaur trading cards.
APRIL 1 - AUGUST 31: Step into the Host and Nectar Garden for an up close view of the butterfly habitat and the emergence of new species.
JUNE 20 - AUGUST 26: Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine has great free and affordable programs for youth and teens planned during the summer at 21 local parks. Kids can come out for games, crafts, sports, field trips and more Monday-Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
JUNE 20- AUGUST 26: Free classes, sports, fitness crafts and more will be offered from 5-8 p.m.at 11 city parks.
MARCH 20 - SEPTEMBER 5: Butterflies are taking flight at the museum! Walk among beautiful butterflies at NHM's seasonal Butterfly Pavilion. This springtime exhibition features hundreds of butterflies, colorful native plants, and plenty of natural light to help you see these creatures shimmer.
JUNE 29-30 & AUGUST 24-25: Downtown showcases the culinary culture of Downtown. This free event also features drink vendors, live music and more!
WEDNESDAYS, JULY 6 - AUGUST 31: Enjoy a FREE 30 minute harbor cruise with purchase of lunch “to go” from participating restaurants every Wednesday through the end of August.
EVERY FRIDAY: A new Cinderella play featuring new songs, special FX, dazzling costumes, and a silent movie segment!
AUGUST 26-28: Take your family to Fiesta La Ballona, a Festival of the People! This event includes food vendors, rides, live performances, karaoke, and other sorts of entertainment!
AUGUST 26-28: Bring your friends and family to experience this end-of-summer event with music, rides, games, food, and more. The festival is a free entry event, with nominal fees for attractions and games.
AUGUST 26: End the summer with a fun free concert and enjoy food trucks and a free Kids Zone. Friday, 5 p.m.

AUGUST 27-28: Celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with a stroll through the moon-lit Chinese Garden. See spectacular lights, enjoy dinner, and listen to live traditional music and Shanghai jazz.
AUG 26-27, SEP 23-24, OCT 21-22: Come aboard the R/V Sea Explorer and join the Ocean Institute at night off the coast of Dana Point to explore the nocturnal world of marine birds, sea lions, and bioluminescent plankton.
AUGUST 27-28: Celebrate Pretend City's birthday with cake crafts, color your own party hat, explore a flour sensory bin, story time, music, and birthday scavenger hunt. Enjoy chocolate or vanilla cake after the birthday song.
EVERY SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Santa Monica Playhouse is featuring Snow White and is taking their audience on a magical adventure as everyone’s most beloved young heroine journeys to find herself, her mother, and her true destiny.
SATURDAY & SUNDAYS, NOW - DECEMBER 31, 2022: Have a blast making art from upcycled materials. Your table is stocked with curated recycled materials and "rediscovered" offcuts and scraps from local manufacturers, along with freshly sanitized crafting tools and kid-friendly fasteners.
SATURDAYS: Get pointers to improve skills, and consistent shooting technique. Equipment provided. Saturday classes include, advanced, 9 a.m. and beginner 10:30 a.m. Safety class required.

SEPTEMBER 9-11: Maritime Festival at the Ocean Institute is celebrating our connection to the ocean! This event is fun for all ages and includes a variety of activities from live music, food trucks, mermaid swim shows, cannon battles, to sea monster scavenger hunts and much more!
SEPTEMBER 16-17: This summer invites dads, uncles, grandfathers, sons, and nephews to a fun night of bonding and camp activities. The event includes a campfire, S’mores, crafts, games, and an outdoor movie.
SEPTEMBER 16: Mad Science of LA presents their "Fire and Ice" show, an interactive program that includes fascinating science demonstrations with air pressure, fire, bubbling potions, and more!
THIRD WEEKEND OF EVERY MONTH: The Orange County Model Engineers offer public ride days every third weekend of each month. To ride the trains, children must be able to walk and be at least 31" tall. A typical trip takes about 12 minutes and covers two loops of the park.
SEPTEMBER 17 - OCTOBER 31: Irvine Park Railroad’s Pumpkin Patch in Orange County is back for the entire family! Enjoy many activities for kids of all ages. Enjoy a not-too-spooky haunted house, hay maze, hay pyramid, picture stands, and lots of other fun activities.
TUESDAYS: Enjoy your summer night and join for a relaxing stroll through the plant collections in the Fullerton Arboretum with live music and complimentary refreshments.
WEDNESDAYS: Drop-in for a craft project and story time connecting to water, nature, and sustainability!
SEPTEMBER 25: Enjoy an afternoon of family ukulele fun with performances by Lise Lee, Bernadette Plazola and Alissa Hunicutt, plus time to jam on the stage with friends, family and other ukulele enthusiasts.
OCTOBER 22: Join the boo-tiful El Dorado Nature Center for a hare-raising good time as you trick-or-treat your way along the trails. Visit the animal education village or bounce yourself silly in the Ooh-possum Patch. There will be storytelling and face painting, food trucks and crafts.
SELECTED DATES DECEMBER 2-18: Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella is the new Broadway adaptation of the iconic musical. This family-friendly show is for all all ages and includes the most beloved songs.
