AUGUST 5 - SEPTEMBER 7: Visit the mythical world of Westeros, the Targaryen Dynasty, and the dragons that ruled beside them. Attendees will be the first to see new costumes and props from the series and have the chance to sit on a replica of the new Iron Throne.
AUGUST 13-21: Come and experience Japanese culture at Nisei Week in Little Tokyo! The festival presents all sorts of entertainment from a Deko-Car Show, a Grand Parade to cultural exhibits that includes displays on bonsai trees, calligraphy, and Ikebana (Japanese art of arranging flowers).
JULY 21 - AUGUST 20: Enjoy fair rides and games, live entertainment, pig races, dog shows, stunt shows, fair food, and more.
MARCH 20 - SEPTEMBER 5: Butterflies are taking flight at the museum! Walk among beautiful butterflies at NHM's seasonal Butterfly Pavilion. This springtime exhibition features hundreds of butterflies, colorful native plants, and plenty of natural light to help you see these creatures shimmer.
JUNE 24 - AUGUST 28: Shop unique artwork and enjoy live music, roaming entertainment, daily art demonstrations and a variety of food and drink offerings.
NOW - SEPTEMBER 5: Learn how paleontologists unearth dinosaur bones, dig in the dinosaur pit, and get a chance to collect several dinosaur trading cards.
APRIL 1 - AUGUST 31: Step into the Host and Nectar Garden for an up close view of the butterfly habitat and the emergence of new species.
JUNE 20 - AUGUST 26: Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine has great free and affordable programs for youth and teens planned during the summer at 21 local parks. Kids can come out for games, crafts, sports, field trips and more Monday-Friday from noon to 5 p.m.
JUNE 20- AUGUST 26: Free classes, sports, fitness crafts and more will be offered from 5-8 p.m.at 11 city parks.
THURSDAYS, JUNE 23 - SEPTEMBER 29: Join a guided after-hours walk to see all the nocturnal creatures that call the Nature Center home. Pre-registration required and fills up fast!
JULY 30-AUGUST 21: Bring your family back in time to enjoy a Broadway Musical inspired by a true story.
FRIDAYS - SUNDAYS, JULY 8 - AUGUST 21: Kids will enjoy art classes taught by professional artists in mixed-media, ceramics, sculpture and more. Meanwhile, parents will have free time to view the artwork on display throughout the Festival grounds.
August 19-21: BBQ Music Fest in Fountain Valley is having another celebration filled with live music, carnival rides and games, a children's stage, a bbq competition, and much more!
EVERY FRIDAY: A new Cinderella play featuring new songs, special FX, dazzling costumes, and a silent movie segment!
FRIDAYS, AUGUST 5 & 19: Explore Crystal Cove State Park at your own pace. Head out on the Environmental Study Loop Trail or into Moro Canyon with self-guided activities on this Family Fun Morning. Look for animal evidence, smell local plants, and listen for bird songs while learning about the natural resources in the park.
July 29, August 5, 12 and 19: : Join them as they share favorite stories, picture books and poems. Perfect for preschool children and their caregivers.

THIRD WEEKEND OF EVERY MONTH: The Orange County Model Engineers offer public ride days every third weekend of each month. To ride the trains, children must be able to walk and be at least 31" tall. A typical trip takes about 12 minutes and covers two loops of the park.
EVERY SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Santa Monica Playhouse is featuring Snow White and is taking their audience on a magical adventure as everyone’s most beloved young heroine journeys to find herself, her mother, and her true destiny.
EVERY WEEKEND: For the August weekends, take your little ones to a fun outdoor concert at the Getty Center! Each weekend presents different bands such as Jazzy Ash & Red Yarn and The Lucky Band.
