MARCH 20 - SEPTEMBER 5: Butterflies are taking flight at the museum! Walk among beautiful butterflies at NHM's seasonal Butterfly Pavilion. This springtime exhibition features hundreds of butterflies, colorful native plants, and plenty of natural light to help you see these creatures shimmer.

JUNE 20- AUGUST 26: Free classes, sports, fitness crafts and more will be offered from 5-8 p.m.at 11 city parks.
THURSDAYS, JUNE 23 - SEPTEMBER 29: Join a guided after-hours walk to see all the nocturnal creatures that call the Nature Center home. Pre-registration required and fills up fast!
AUGUST 4: This event features live music, craft and business vendors, inflatable slides and obstacle courses, and games with Bellflower Recreation in Motion (B.R.I.M.).
AUGUST 4: The City of La Mirada encourages residents to spend the evening outside to get to know their neighbors. The event will be held alongside the Concerts Under the Stars and is sponsored by National Night Out.

EVERY FRIDAY: A new Cinderella play featuring new songs, special FX, dazzling costumes, and a silent movie segment!
AUGUST 5 - SEPTEMBER 7: Visit the mythical world of Westeros, the Targaryen Dynasty, and the dragons that ruled beside them. Attendees will be the first to see new costumes and props from the series and have the chance to sit on a replica of the new Iron Throne.

AUGUST 5-6: Come to the Japanese Friendship Garden to experience a magical night with your loved ones. The Toro Nagashi Festival includes food and merchant vendors, live performances, and much more!
FRIDAYS, AUGUST 5 & 19: Explore Crystal Cove State Park at your own pace. Head out on the Environmental Study Loop Trail or into Moro Canyon with self-guided activities on this Family Fun Morning. Look for animal evidence, smell local plants, and listen for bird songs while learning about the natural resources in the park.
July 29, August 5, 12 and 19: : Join them as they share favorite stories, picture books and poems. Perfect for preschool children and their caregivers.
AUGUST 5: Bring your little ones for a preschool playdate! Don't forget to bring your socks!
AUGUST 5: Join Pretend City for a featured movie The Land Before Time in Orange Plaza. Bring your own snacks, blanket and chairs to enjoy a movie celebrating their resident dino friends.
AUGUST 5: Bring your friends and family for yummy food, live music, games, and DIY slime fun!
FRIDAY, AUGUST 5: Relax, listen to live music and bring a blanket to picnic at the park. Explore the museum for free and celebrate the mighty predators of the Ice Age, Saber-Tooth Cats, and talk with scientists.
AUGUST 5: Join Stanton’s celebration of National Night Out followed by a movie under the stars! Participants will have the opportunity to explore police cruisers, fire trucks and more!
AUGUST 5: Parents, do you need a date night out? The highly qualified Youth Center staff will supervise your children while parents get a much needed night out! Kids will enjoy a pizza dinner, snacks, games and more! $5 per child. Ages 3+ (must be potty trained.)
AUGUST 5: Take your kids for a Friday glow-in-the-dark bounce night! Don't forget to bring your socks!

EVERY WEEKEND: For the August weekends, take your little ones to a fun outdoor concert at the Getty Center! Each weekend presents different bands such as Jazzy Ash & Red Yarn and The Lucky Band.
SATURDAY & SUNDAYS, NOW - DECEMBER 31, 2022: Have a blast making art from upcycled materials. Your table is stocked with curated recycled materials and "rediscovered" offcuts and scraps from local manufacturers, along with freshly sanitized crafting tools and kid-friendly fasteners.
