WEEKENDS, NOW - MAY 22: Step out of the modern world and join a different time in history. Dress up and join the festivities including plays, music, magic, skills of glassblowing and blacksmithing, jousting, and activities like archery and axe throwing.
MAY 14-15: The free 2-day camp will feature hands-on stations for the campers (ages 14-18) to gain familiarity and experience with fire service functions. The activity stations will include but are not limited to: Ropes and Knots, CPR/First Aid, Ladder Climb, Confidence Course, and Hose Handling.
MAY 14-15: Meet a real mermaid, help paint a mural, create sea-themed stickers, pose in a real shark cage, learn about kid-friendly dive programs, sea camps, and more.

SATURDAY & SUNDAYS, NOW - DECEMBER 31, 2022: Have a blast making art from upcycled materials. Your table is stocked with curated recycled materials and "rediscovered" offcuts and scraps from local manufacturers, along with freshly sanitized crafting tools and kid-friendly fasteners.
SATURDAY, MAY 14: Enjoy a hands-on opportunity to get up close to heavy trucks and equipment -- and learn how they are used to keep Newport Beach maintained.

SATURDAY, MAY 21: Enjoy live music from your favorites like “Frozen,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Lion King” and “Star Wars.” Dress as your favorite characters. Concert is designed especially for children 5-11.
THIRD WEEKEND OF EVERY MONTH: The Orange County Model Engineers offer public ride days every third weekend of each month. To ride the trains, children must be able to walk and be at least 31" tall. A typical trip takes about 12 minutes and covers two loops of the park.
SATURDAY, MAY 21: Join Tanaka Farms for a Barnyard Bash! Line dance in the barnyard, visit with farm animals, and play barnyard cornhole. Enjoy a farm-to-table BBQ cookout with lemonade. Fundraising activities include "Van Goat" paintings and photo ops. Reservations required.
MAY 21-22: Two-day festival celebrating winged, multi-legged, and squirmy friends. Come out to get crafty, experience up-close encounters with crawly creatures, learn all about the local bugs.

SATURDAY, MAY 21 & JULY 23: The Book Arts Patch Day for Girls is designed for all girls (not just Girl Scouts) ages 10-18 to learn about the art of bookmaking, paper making, bookbinding, illustrating covers/pages, and more. Advanced registration required.
SATURDAY, MAY 21: This event is a unique opportunity to celebrate the arts and to engage children, parents and everyone in the arts. Over 50 organizations, city departments and more bring art projects to the Park atmosphere and invite the kids to “try art”. All art activities are FREE to the participants.
SUNDAY, MAY 22: In this 75-minute workshop, kids will get the opportunity to speak with a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and learn about the field of medicine.

MAY 25-30: The Field of Honor display will consist of up to 400 American flags strategically placed on the grounds of the Mission in honor of military, veterans, first responders, including K-9 and equestrian heroes.
THURSDAY, MAY 26: Enjoy a delicious mix of food, drinks, and fun in Brea Downtown. Spend the eventing tasting samples from local restaurants and dancing to live music.
MAY 20 & 27: Lil' Chefs will enjoy a Mother's Day Celebration, Baking 101 Workshop and Parent's Night Out
MAY 27-30: Active duty ship tours, military displays and equipment demonstrations, live entertainment, aircraft flyovers, STEM Expo, culinary cook-off competitions, and concerts.

FOURTH SATURDAYS: Taking place on the 4th Saturday of each month, Lit to Life includes a participatory story time supplemented with mindfulness exercises, art-making projects, or in-gallery activities.
