October 1-31: Pick the perfect pumpkin, go on a train or hay ride, play at the game booths, and smile for photo opps!
Calling all kids! October is Kids Free month at the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park, when children (ages 11 and under) receive free admission all month long (with an adult). One paying adult can bring up to 5 children free.
OCTOBER 1-31: Throughout the whole month, enjoy virtual activities including Halloween art, musical acts, contests, crafts and more. Then on October 24, experience the annual Halloween parade as a drive-thru event in Downtown Anaheim. More details to come.
SEPTEMBER 26 - NOVEMBER 1: Come out to enjoy Fall at the farm! Pick out the perfect pumpkin, enjoy making family memories, and capture the moment with plenty of well-spaced out photo opps.
OCTOBER 12-30: Stop by to see more than a dozen unique and exciting scarecrows handmade by local Mission Viejo businesses and organizations. The public will be able to vote for their favorite scarecrows.
OCTOBER 19-31: For thirteen lucky days beginning, children can “trick-or-treat” online to learn and laugh about pumpkins, bats, spiders, and more.
OCTOBER 23-29: Dress up in your costume and bring a decorated pumpkin to turn the City Hall front lawn into a pumpkin patch. Escape the maze, grab a take-home craft, and take a spooktacular family picture in the photobooth.
OCTOBER 25-31: The STEM Spooktacular is a week-long virtual event wherein students complete a Halloween-themed project. S.Y.STEM Coalition’s STEM professionals have developed sample activities, but you can participate with any project you'd like!
OCTOBER 26-31: Join OC Parks for a frightfully fun week of virtual Halloween offerings happening on social media.
OCTOBER 3-4, 8-31: Activities this year include train rides, petting zoo, free mini straw maze, sand art, and some carnival games.
THURSDAYS, OCTOBER 1-29: Families can reserve their own socially-distanced table to dine and watch the movie on a 20' screen outside. Enjoy trivia, table activities for kids, and giveaways. Costumes encouraged.
OCTOBER 29: Come dressed in your Halloween costume as you trick-or-treat through the city. Visit all the stops on the map to collect a variety of Halloween goodies and treats.
OCTOBER 30: Attendees can drive through the line of Tricks and Treats, for easy treats in trunks. Enjoy decorated tents, see live, local artist activations, and cultural music performances.
OCTOBER 30: Bring your little goblins out for a drive-thru trick-or-treat experience brought to you by the Buena Park Police and Community Services Department.
OCTOBER 30: Join the City of Cypress for a drive through their very own Halloween Town! Have a frightfully good time looking at Halloween décor and take home Halloween-in-a-Bag filled with crafts, candy, and more while supplies last. Costumes encouraged!
OCTOBER 24-25 & 30-1: This attraction is a 10-minute multi-screen video presentation synced to lighting effects, props, special effects, and live actors.
OCTOBER 31: Enjoy food vendors, candy bags, and commemorative medals to children in costume.
OCTOBER 31: Discover the eerier side of The Huntington in a virtual event where curators and botanists share rarely seen objects and otherworldly stories from deep inside the collections. Enter a mysterious world of ghoulish characters, bizarre plants, and devilish elixirs and treats you can make at home.
OCTOBER 31: Enjoy safe family fun at the Automobile Driving Museum with a costume contest for the kids, and dress up your vehicle for the Trunk-or-Treat contest.
OCTOBER 31: Join the City of Westminster for a drive-thru candy crawl! Stop your car at each Community Day station and receive goodies for all the kids in your car.
OCTOBER 31: See cool decorated trunks, enjoy candy, games and treats all from the safety of your car.
OCTOBER 31: Drive the entire family through Downey's candy crawl and enjoy Halloween treats at each pop up location along the route!
OCTOBER 31: Enjoy decorated cars, candy, prizes, and games with The Performer's Academy.
THIRD THURSDAY - MONTHLY: Visit the South Coast Botanic Garden for free every third Thursday of the month. This 87-acres garden features a small lake, Children’s Garden and Children’s Discovery Garden.
