Classes:

Beginning Python
December 8  – Instructor Burk will guide students (3rd grade+) through the codesters.com lesson as a zoom-along. Students learn the basics, then create a program that calculates the distance between two sprites to make sure they are social distancing or need to wear a mask. $8.

Beginning Bitly
December 10, 3:30-4:30 p.m. – Instructor Nicole will guide students (4th grade+) through the Bitly interface to build an animated game step-by-step. $10.

Winter-Break Fun: 

Shared Science is teaming up with the historical educational staff at Rancho Los Cerritos in Long Beach for a two-hour afternoon STEM experience. 

12/19 – Onsite at MAYE Center farm for Garden and STEM Lesson, a student/parent visit.

12/28, 1-3 p.m. – Onsite at Rancho Los Cerritos for LB History and STEM Lesson, a student/parent visit.

12/29, 1-2:15 p.m. – Online Plushie STEM Critter Creation for Student/Parent online team featuring glow-y parts
