Salute to Service: Queen Mary’s Memorial Day Weekend Celebration

Salute to Service is a three-day event held over Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-27, honoring and remembering those who have served, and paying homage to the Queen Mary’s duty as a troopship during WWII.
Come aboard the ship for reenactments and demonstrations, appearances by beloved historical figures and lectures.
Veterans, active duty military, and first-responders receive free admission, and guests of the same party receive 25% off discount. Saturday – Monday.
Nicknamed the “Grey Ghost” after receiving a hauntingly stark paint job, the Queen Mary’s impressive speed and size made her an ideal troop hauler during WWII. Often carrying as many as 15,000 men in a single voyage, the ship set world records for speed and cargo during her tour of duty.
Salute to Service is the perfect opportunity to explore the Queen Mary and learn the incredible true story of how her involvement played a pivotal role in guiding the Allied Forces to victory in WWII.
