Parent & Me Painting: Tulip Collage

Join local artist Erna Van Dyk as she teaches you how to use watercolor marker pens to create a tulip collage. You will work together to observe the colors and qualities of the tulips and create your own artwork. This fun, relaxed class takes place in our outdoor classroom before the garden is open. Grandparents and favorite adults are welcome too! No experience necessary. All materials provided. Nature Journal available to purchase on the day (optional).

Ever wish you could start a compost area for your leftover strawberry tops, veggie trimmings papers and napkins… but you don’t have enough space or time? We’ve got an easy answer for you! Learn how to compost with worms and bring home your own beginners kit! Worm composting (vermi-composting) takes a little space and very little effort. Each participant will make and take a starter kit with their very own (Red wigglers – Eisenia fetida – the most voracious eaters!) You’ll have worm castings brackets (black gold) to add into your garden and you’ll feel good doing your share helping with sustainability.
