Memorial Day Ceremony in Lakewood

Enjoy the city’s annual tribute to service members, hear remarks from the mayor, flag presentation, and musical performances by the Golden Sands Chorus.
Lakewood resident and Mayfair High School graduate Jamie Meckel Tablason will read the poem “The Boys of Del Valle Park.” Jamie’s uncle was John Meckel, one of the 43 Lakewood residents killed during military service in Vietnam whose name appears on the Veterans Memorial.
