May Events at Pretend City Children’s Museum
Star Wars Weekend
May 1-2: Discover the force at play in the Art Studio as guests combine science and art to create out-of-this-world designs using magnets and motion. Enjoy meet and greets from Stormtroopers from the 501st Legion. Train and use lightsaber skills in the Junior Jedi Academy. Dress in your best Star Wars outfit and receive $1 off admission.
May 8: Spend the day with Pretend City for some special mommy bonding as we enjoy arts and activities. Create a special floral keepsake and enjoy a Mother’s Day story time.
Jewish American Heritage Month
May 5, 12, 19, and 26: Celebrate the vibrant and varied American Jewish experience through art and stories.
Asian Pacific American Heritage Month
May 6, 20, and 27: Explore the history, traditions and culture of Asians and Pacific Islanders.
May 13: This Muslim holiday is a celebration intended for enjoyment, forgiveness, and feasting. Your little one will enjoy learning about these cultural traditions through activities, books, and more.
May 2: A special time in the museum for parents and their babies 18 months and younger.
Way to Play Day
May 14: Free developmental screenings as guests play their way through the museum.
Family Autism Night
May 27: An evening just for families with children of all ages who are on the autism spectrum or have a disability, as well as therapists and behavioral coaches.
