Make Music Long Beach
As part of the national Make Music Day festivities, Martin Guitars and Hohner Instruments have combined to make a donation of several hundred songbooks and harmonicas to be passed out to people coming to the concert. If you have a guitar, please bring it, and join in on a quick performance of “I Can See Clearly Now” at intermission.
Songbooks are free and are available to pick up before the event (so you can practice!) in the offices of Grace First Presbyterian Church, 3955 Studebaker Rd. at Los Coyotes Diagonal, M-F, 9am-4pm
Make Music is a free celebration of music around the world on the Summer Solstice. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fte de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 750 cities in 120 countries. Find local events on their website.
