Long Beach Symphony Instrument Petting Zoo
Long Beach Symphony volunteers explain how musical instruments work, how they make different sounds, and how they fit into the orchestra. Kids (3+) then have a chance to hold and play almost every instrument in the orchestra, a unique opportunity for children and parents alike. Various locations and times, schedule below.
July 10: Southeast Branch Library in Torrance, 2-3:30 p.m.
July 19: Westminster Branch Library, 11 a.m. – noon
July 24: Cerritos Library, 1-2:30 p.m.
August 1: Whaley Park in Long Beach, 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
August 6: Burnett Library in Long Beach, 2-3:30 p.m. and Dana Library in Long Beach, 4:30-6 p.m.
