Kids’ Fishing Derby at Mile Square Regional Park in Fountain Valley
OC Parks, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Angler Chronicles host the 20th Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby at the North Lake at Mile Square Regional Park.
The lake will be stocked with more than 1,000 pounds of trout or catfish for the derby.
Kids ages 6 to 15 fish for free at the Fishing Derby and compete to win prizes for finalists and winners in different age groups.
Fishing clinics will be held on-site and a limited quantity of fishing rods will be available for loan.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, and adults are not permitted to fish until the derby has concluded and prizes are awarded.
