Junior Lifeguard Program of Newport Beach
Newport Beach Junior Guard holds a 7-week camp over the summer where participants learn valuable aquatic skills, beach environment awareness, and the role of ocean lifeguards.
Participants are educated in topics such as the oceanic environment, first aid, mutual cooperation, competition techniques, and lifesaving methods. The program is open to children ages 9 to 15. Age deadlines are based on your child(ren)’s age on June 30 of the current year’s program.
All participants must pass the required NBJG swim test in order to enroll in the Program. This year’s swim test dates are:
Sunday, March 1, 2020, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Saturday, March 7, 2020, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Sunday, March 15, 2020, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Swim tests will be held at Corona Del Mar High School.
