Jewish American Heritage Month – Family Matinees at Academy Museum

SATURDAYS, MAY 6-27, 2023

The first three Saturday Family Matinees in May will screen classics and rarities that depict Jewish life on screen with care and affection.

This month’s screenings also include a *sensory-friendly screening of Muppets Most Wanted featuring open captioning, dimly lit theater, and lower volume.

  • May 6 – Hand in Hand (1961)
  • May 13 – Fiddler on the Roof (1971)
  • May 20 – An American Tail (1986)
  • May 27 – *Muppets Most Wanted (2014)

On Saturday, May 20, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm, stop by the Shirley Temple Education Studio to participate in an interactive workshop to create your own movie poster celebrating family and tradition as inspired by the musical classic Fiddler on the Roof and animated favorite An American Tail.

Tickets are $5 per person. Free museum admission for kids 17 and under.
