GIANT KITES OF GUATEMALA at UCLA

DATES: Sunday, August 4, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Explore the practice of making colorful giant kites (barriletes) and their significance during Da de los Muertos in Guatemala during this two-hour hands-on workshop. After learning about the Day of the Dead celebration in Guatemala and other Central American countries, participants will create large kites to fly on their own. This free family program is produced in collaboration with the UCLA Latin American Institute.  Visit website to register.
