Family Matinees at the Academy Museum in LA

DATES: Saturday, November 20
| Recurring Event (See all)

SATURDAYS, OCTOBER 30 – NOVEMBER 27, 2021

Every Saturday, the Academy Museum screens films for families of all ages. All films in this series are rated G or PG, unless otherwise noted. In October, they present a selection of spooky features. The focus for November is films that tell Indigenous/Native stories, including a selection of family-friendly shorts, both live-action and animated, by Indigenous/Native filmmakers. The final Family Matinee of every month is an accommodative screening where they offer open captioning, keep the theater dimly lit, and maintain a lower volume for neurodivergent viewers.

Shows begin at 11 a.m.

  • Shorts Program: Indigenous Stories – November 6
  • Moana – November 13
