Family Autism Night at Pretend City in Irvine
Visit Pretend City Children’s Museum for a special event that provides a sensitive environment for children on the autism spectrum, as well as children with disabilities, and their families.
With the help of their Community Play Partners and Pretend City’s experienced and educated team, children discover different activities while exploring the museum and learning to interact with peers.
Art Studio Sessions: Visit the Art Studio to explore fine motor activities for encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving. They help to develop a child’s fine motor skills, hand dexterity, and coordination through play.
Musical Circle Time: Make some music and sing along during a sensory-engaging circle time all about music and rhythm! Did you know that music can greatly contribute to a child’s cognitive and sensory development?
This special evening is an opportunity for children and their parents/siblings/caretakers to have some fun in an autism-friendly environment along with other families. Many community partners, who specialize in supporting children on the autism spectrum, will be on-hand to enrich your family’s play experience with welcoming smiles and practical support.
RSVP here. Pretend City will be closed to the general public for this event.
