Cool Craft Roundup at the Rancho

Bring your kids to have fun learning about a variety of ranch-related subjects from livestock to planting through craft projects and games. Themes below.

June 19: Summer Solstice
Sunshine is important for plants and livestock on a ranch. Celebrate summer while making sun visors and sun catchers and be sure to check out the sundial in the Rose Garden. Designed for elementary school-aged children who must be accompanied by an adult.

July 17: Everyone Has a Home
Birds love visiting and living on the Rancho. Children will learn about where to look for birds, hints on bird identification and the different styles of nests they build. Each child will decorate and take home their very own miniature birdhouse. Designed for elementary school-aged children who must be accompanied by an adult.

August 21: Baa Baa Black Sheep
Children will learn about the care, feeding and sheering of the Rancho’s sheep, Sister, and Bo, and create a craft to take home using their wool. Designed for elementary school-aged children who must be accompanied by an adult.
