Columbia Memorial 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11 Moon Landing in Downey
You’re family is invited to the Space Center, the birthplace of the Apollo, to commemorate the moon landing. Activities include:
• Rocket launch world record attempt, July 16
• NASA Day, July 19, including free admission
• Apollo 11 Landing Day celebration, July 20 (50 years to the day that astronauts first landed on the moon). Celebrate with a free, all-day event at the Space Center and Apollo 11 movie screening under the stars; exhibit of rare artifacts; and opportunities to interact with some of the people who worked on the project 50 years ago.
Apollo-themed summer camps are also being offered at the Columbia Memorial Space Center during July! Visit www.columbiaspacescience.org/apollo for details about all of their Apollo events taking place throughout the year.
