Southern California Pumpkin Patch Guide 2021

It’s not officially Fall until you’ve walked around a pumpkin patch! Get lost in a corn maze, feed the farm animals, play games, go on rides, and hunt down the perfect pumpkin. Here’s a list of nearby pumpkin patches and pumpkin displays. Most offer free admission and parking, but attraction and activity pricing vary.

Pa’s Pumpkin Patch

Pa’s Pumpkin Patch offers a large variety of pumpkins to choose from, as well as haystacks, corn stalks and gourds. Enjoy a snack bar, pony ride, a petting zoo and a variety of games and rides. A fun place for the whole family, and a great getaway for school groups, scout groups, birthday parties and special events!

Attractions and rides include merry-go-round, dragon race, mirror maze, toon cars, log jammer bounce, log jammer slide, and more!


El Dorado Frontier Pumpkin Market

Take a ride on the El Dorado Express, where you’ll learn the origin of the Jack O’ Lantern during the narrated train ride. Try your luck at unique carnival games, panning for treasures, and take a journey on the carousel and hand car ride. Photo ops, live ambient music, Tin-Type Photography, and pumpkins available too.

Pumpkin Market Admission: $15-17. Ticket includes admission, unlimited train and carousel rides for the day. Children (under 1) are free.

Parking fee $8-9. Additional attractions and activities are an extra cost.


Whittier Pumpkin Patch

Enchanted Country Pumpkins

Irvine Park Railroad’s Pumpkin Patch in Orange County is fun for the entire family. Enjoy the many activities for kids of all ages. Free activities include haunted house, hay maze, picture stands, and hay pyramid. Ticketed activities include train rides, hay rides, panning for gold, games, cookie decorating, and more. Admission is free, but there is a parking fee to enter the park.

Kidsguide Tip: If you plan to visit us on busy weekends, arrive early in the morning to avoid park entrance and parking delays.


Hana Field Pumpkin Patch

Enjoy the inaugural Pumpkin Patch at Hana Field. Pick your own pumpkin, wander through the flower fields, or take a wagon ride. There’s also a strawbale maze, strawbale mountain for climbing, and arts and crafts station.

Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns Pumpkin Patch is now open with games, activities, attractions, and parties along with online ordering, delivery, and curbside pick-up. Games and activities include photo station, maze, pumpkin decorating, pumpkin putting, games, slides, animal viewing, bounce house, and lots more.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

Founded in 1987, Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch offers Los Angeles–area families a spooky, fun environment complete with pumpkin carving, straw mazes, face painting and more. With a wide variety of pumpkins sourced from the family’s farm in Oregon, Mr. Bones has long been a highly anticipated family tradition.

This year, the patch will feature the famous Pumpkin Village, a boo-tique filled with Halloween favorites, the tipi village, pumpkin decorating, a VIP area, and incredible activities for all ages. On weekends, visitors will find food trucks and live entertainment to create magical memories for the whole family.


Pumpkin Fest at Cal Poly Pomona

Pick the perfect pumpkin, pet a goat, ride the hay wagon, get lost in the giant corn maze, enjoy live entertainment, festival food, and fun farm demonstrations including cow milking and beekeeping. Antique tractors and farm equipment will also be on display. Visit the Marketplace to pick up fresh produce, honey, specialty pumpkins, fall decorations, and artisan goods. New this year is the Moo Moo Cow Train and Children’s Garden activities including creepy bugs and squirmy snakes.

Admission tickets will only be available online, in advance. No tickets will be sold at the gate. Ticket prices range $5-22/adults, $4-20/children depending on day and attraction bundle. Discounted rates for seniors (65+) and military.

Free admission on Wednesdays and Thursdays with online reservation. Only the pumpkin patch and corn maze attraction will be available these days.


Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch

Carved at Descanso Gardens

See hundreds of carved pumpkins lined along a 1-mile walk through the Camellia Forest and Oak Grove at Descanso Gardens. Along with pumpkins, there will be exciting new oversized sculptures made of naturals materials. Don’t forget to check out the popular Pumpkin House, hay maze, and themed food and beverages. Tickets are $32-35 for non-members.


Pumpkin Patch & Fall Fun Fest at Santa Anita Park

The Infield comes alive for the last two weekends in October. Bring the whole family to enjoy the pumpkin patch, inflatable bouncers, Ferris wheel, giant slide, face painting, crafts, pony rides, carnival rides, and plenty of picnic space.

Pricing: $5 for adults (includes program and parking), kids (17 and under) are free. Pricing for rides and attractions range $2-10. Fall Fun Fest Starter Pack (online purchase only) is $25 and includes one pumpkin ($10 value), unlimited inflatable wristband, and two tickets for select attractions.

Peltzer Farms is a family-owned and operated farm in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country. Once a year, they offer a country-chic, pick-your-own pumpkin patch with family activities for all to enjoy. Attractions include panning for gems, pony rides, train rides, petting farm, carnival rides, mini John Deere carts, shaved ice, pumpkin painting, and tractor garden.

Entrance is $2 per person (Monday – Friday) and $3 per person (weekends). Children under 2 years old are free with a paid adult. Pricing for activities vary $2-20. Enjoy unlimited weekday visits with $50 Pumpkin Pass.
