Camps for preschoolers to high schoolers—full-days, half-days, art, sports, theater, music, dance, STEM, cooking, boating, surfing, horseback riding, rock climbing—you name it.

It’s a jam-packed list of summer fun!

Each organization below has COVID safety precautions in place. Be sure to check their website for more details, changes, or cancelations!

Acting Out

Acting Out is for campers, ages 7-16. They challenge every camper according to their comfort level. At the end of each session they record a showcase and send it to the parents to watch safely from home! Full or half days, June 21-25, July 12-16, and August 9-13. Learn More

Aquarium of the Pacific

Long Beach – Through weeklong day camps, participants (ages 7-12) will explore the Aquarium an hour before it opens to the public and participate in activities to learn more about marine life and habitats. Camp alternate weekly, starting with Critter Spotlight on June 14 followed by Ocean Habitats on June 21. Both are held Mondays – Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon. Learn More

Art Steps

Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills and Yorba Linda – Fine art day camps, offered in half-day options. Young children explore in many media, such as cartooning, clay, 3D perspective and beyond; while teens of all levels enjoy in-depth focus on figure drawing and portraiture, painting, Anime fine points and much more. Arts & Learning Conservatory

Costa Mesa – The award winning Arts & Learning Conservatory is offering its first-ever Virtual Music/Theatre Summer Camp (some in-person) this June 15 – August 17 for kids, tweens and teens. Learn More

Award-Winning South Coast Repertory Summer Acting Workshop

Costa Mesa – Kids and teens (grades 4-12) build confidence and self-esteem in a safe and welcoming setting. Chef Tech Cooking School

Long Beach – Chef Tech offers 10 weeks of hands-on and virtual kids cooking camps (Monday-Friday). Kids (ages 6-14) train with real chefs, learn to chop, slice, and dice, mise en place (setting up), clean as they go, and eat the fantastic dishes they have prepared. Learn More

Aliso Viejo – With over 140 camps and activities to choose from, they’ve got something for everyone to enjoy. Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine

Long Beach – In-person summer day camps at 23 local parks! Ages 5-12 will enjoy crafts, physical fitness, enrichment activities and more that follow COVID-19 safety guidelines. Skatedogs Skateboarding Camp

Various Locations – Kids make new friends, advance their skateboarding skills, and most importantly, have fun at Skatedogs’ school-break skateboarding camps offered in conjunction with local recreation departments. Boys and Girls Club | Various Locations – Youth programs are offered during vacation breaks. Some branches offer day camps, in full-day or half-day sessions.

Brea Community Services | Brea – Camps are available weekly, June 7 – August 13, Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. for elementary-age kids.

Camp Fire Long Beach | Long Beach – Camp Fire offers Backyard Brunch, Day Camp & Weekly Sessions, for grades K-8, and Camp Wintaka Resident Camp, July 19 – July 24, for students entering grades 2–10.

Camp Heritage Oak | Yorba Linda – Each week, campers (preschool to grade 8), will enjoy themed activities. Various academic and enrichment camps are also available.

Camp James | Newport Beach – Aquatic activities, archery, drama, climbing wall, go-carts, laser tag, mini golf, STEM. June 7 – August 13, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Camp Pinniped – Pacific Marine Mammal Care Center | Laguna Beach – Campers learn how the animal care team rehabilitates their seal and sea lion patients.

City of Anaheim – CampVenture & TeenVenture | Anaheim – Week-long day camps filled with activities including arts and crafts, games, movies, science experiments, special events, and sports. TeenVenture provides teen counselors with leadership training, college prep, job prep, and first aid.

City of Irvine | Irvine – Hundreds of summer camps for kids (ages 3-17). From cooking, crafts, dance, music, educational, sports, recreational—there’s something for everyone. Programs run from June-August.

Corky Carroll’s Surf School | Huntington Beach – Beginners and pros alike can ride waves and have fun. Weekly camps, June 7 – September 3, for ages 4 and up.

City of Cypress | Cypress – Weekly camps for ages 5-14 include Camp Cypress, Sports Camps and Summer Parks.

Culinary Kids | Aliso Viejo & San Clemente – Campers will cook, create and collaborate in the kitchen. With  flavorful, healthy dishes, expert chefs and teachers, and fun-filled atmosphere, your young chef will develop lifelong essential cooking skills while sautéing their way around tasty menu masterpieces!

Family Vacation Camps | Various Locations – Camps where the whole family attends together to enjoy a variety of activities. Camps range from 3-7 days and include lodging.

Fountain Valley Community Services | Fountain Valley – Summer Camps for ages 3+ include Little Scientist Lab, Rocketry, Robots, Chemworks, Jr. Astronauts, Engineering, Harry Potter Wizardry, Slime Time, Kid Olympics, Escape Room and more.

Fullerton Parks & Recreation | Fullerton – Weekly themes, special on-site activities, and excursions. Camp, for ages 5-8 and 9-12, begins on June 1.

Huntington Beach Recreation | Huntington Beach – Camp HB, a six-week day camp for children ages 6-12, July 5 – August 13. Additional camps will also be offered, including musical theater, arts, STEM, and sports.

Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center | Irvine – Summer camp for ages 6-17. Activities include nature hikes, zip line rides, STEM activities, archery, tie dye, and much more!

Los Alamitos Summer Day Camp | Los Alamitos – The Los Alamitos Summer Day Camp for youth (ages 5-12), June 14 – August 13.

Musique Sur La Mer Orchestra Camp | Long Beach – Student violinists, violists, cellists, bassists can join two weeks of making music, receiving instruction by master teachers, masterclasses, and fun surprises.

Newport Sea Base | Newport Beach – Summer camp is offered weekly, June 14 – August 20 for ages 5-17. Half-day and full-day camps with sailing, boating and aquatics, art, robotics, woodworking, and more.

Ocean Institute | Dana Point – Dive into summer camp fun with small groups and big experiences, June 7 – August 13. Camps focus on ocean education and experiences for ages 5-17.

Piecemakers Country Store | Costa Mesa – Kids’ Craft-tastic Art Camp and Kids’ Summer Sewing Camps.

Seal Beach Community Services | Seal Beach – Wide variety of weeklong summer camps, June – August. Over 30 specialty camps include art, dance and acting, edutainment, STEM, and sports.

Southern California Dance Academy | Long Beach – Summer Dance Camp, June 21 – July 9; and Swan Lake Dance Intensive, July 12 – July 31

SPCALA Friends for Life | Long Beach – Week-long day camp designed for 9-14 year olds, June and July. Kids learn basic care and responsibility for pets, respect for animals, and the beginnings of dog training––all while having fun with friends!

Strategic Kids | Virtual – Camp for students entering grades 1-8 includes chess, LEGO, magic and origami

Tustin Parks & Recreation | Tustin – One-week themed session, June – August, that include:  Little Folks Camp (3-5), Camp Tustin (6-10), Tustin Teen Camp (11-14), Summer Drop-In Program (free), and Counselor in Training (14-17).

Urban Workshop | Costa Mesa – Urban Workshop’s Summer Camp is designed to create a pressure-free environment in which students (ages 10 to 16), learn to use a wide selection of hand and power tools with a variety of materials.
