10 Wickedly Amazing Halloween Yard Displays in LA & Orange County

Looking for something fun and (perhaps) free to do for Halloween? Check out a local Halloween yard display put on by neighbors who absolutely LOVE Halloween! Celebrate the house that goes completely over the top to make this holiday special.

Many of these home haunts are free to visit, some ask for small donations or collect food for local charities. Please follow each home’s safety guidelines regarding protective face coverings, social distancing, etc.

1870 Haunt Manor | Anaheim

Address: 1870 N. Cymbal Place, Anaheim
Dates: October 1-31
Times: 6-10 p.m. daily

The 1870 Haunt Manor is a full-blown, interactive, elaborate display. Go by on weekends (Friday-Sunday) for full features including special effects, theatrics, and actors! This year, they are also holding a toy drive for the Orange County Ronald McDonald House.

The Curse of the Raven | La Mirada

Address: 4682 Stanton Ave., La Mirada
Dates: October 17-31
Times: 7-10 p.m.

This epic home haunt definitely brings Halloween spirit to the neighborhood! The display is designed and handcrafted by Robert and Kristy, two seasoned Halloween enthusiasts, both with years of experience working seasonal at Knott’s Berry Farm.



Gershon Dungeon | Santa Ana

Address: 13861 Gershon Place, Santa Ana
Dates: October 30 and 31
Times: 7-10 p.m.

Normally, the Gershon Dungeon is a walk-through maze bu this year, it’ll be a large yard display with actors. The Gershon Dungeon is considered one of the largest and longest-running home haunts in all of OC—it averages 800 people over the two nights!




Hull House | Buena Park

Address: 6688 San Alano Circle, Buena Park
Dates: October 8-31
Times: Dusk-10 p.m.

A home haunt you can enjoy from the safety of your car! Go by on Fridays and Saturdays for full effects. Plus, this will be the last year the Hull House will be in California—they’re moving to Arizona!

Pirate’s Cave Haunt | Orange

Address: 2548 E. Garfield Ave., Orange
Dates: October 23-25, 30-31, and November 1
Times: 7-10 p.m.

This attraction is a 10-minute multi-screen video presentation synched to lighting effects, props, special effects, and live actors.

Prism Haunt | Mission Viejo

Address: 24465 Chamalea Dr., Mission Viejo
Dates: Fridays – Sundays, October 2 – November 1
Times: 7:30-10 p.m.

This year, Prism Haunt is an outdoor, open-air show that combines projection, movie-quality special effects, and live actors. Guests are spread out at least 6 feet apart. Tickets are $3.99/child and $4.99/adult.

Fairbrook Manor | Long Beach

Address: 5426 E. Fairbrook St., Long Beach
Dates: October 30 – November 1

The 2020 edition of Fairbrook Manor will be a safe and distanced yard display with a small walk through. They’ll also be collecting canned goods for the Long Beach Rescue Mission. Follow their social media for updates!

The Grey Phantom | Norwalk

Address: 14338 Funston Ave., Norwalk
Dates: Fridays – Sundays (follow social media for updates)
Times: 7-9 p.m.

Check out this ghost ship display that has appeared from the depths! You’ll be able to view three areas (boiler room, infirmary hallway, and dining room). Drive by this large display or view it from the sidewalk.

The Haunted Rose | Whittier

Address: 12116 Groveland Ave., Whittier
Dates: October 30 & 31
Times: “Sunset – Witching Hour”

The Haunted Rose presents this year’s show, The Colour Out of Space, a live, theatrical display of cosmic horror happening Halloween weekend. There will be hourly performances from “sunset till the witching hour.” Check out photos from last year’s show.

The Haunted Shack | Torrance

Address: 5112 Maricopa St., Torrance
Dates: October 29-31
Times: 6-10 p.m.

Normally a walk-through maze, this year The Haunted Shack will be a front yard display that must be experienced in person! They’re also collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the local food bank and to those who are severely impacted by the pandemic.
