    My 15 year old grandson replied when I asked him, the “Inheritance” series. For his 13 year old brother the “Brotherband” series. I am so grateful that reading aloud to them early on established a solid foundation for their enjoyment of reading today.

    My kids’ favorite book is called The little Green witch. They love it because it involves a ghost, a bat, a gremlin and a witch. I love it because it explains the process of growing a pumpkin and making pumpkin pie.

    My twins are 12 and my oldest is 14. They like reading Percy Jackson books and the K.R. Alexander books. I love that even at this age, they still enjoy reading their books. After every chapter, they talk about it and tell me what’s going on with the story. That’s how we make it fun for all of us.

    I also enjoy reading. I especially like the Novels by Isabel Allende. She’s my favorite author.

    By far, my favorite read – aloud choice has to be Big Al by Andrew Clements . This beautifully illustrated book’s theme revolves around the value of friendship and drives home the points of how to make friends and equally important, how to be a good friend.
