Civil War Days at Calico Ghost Town
February 15-16: Calico Ghost Town will come alive with Civil War battles, the sounds of bugles, and the thunder of cannon and musket fire! Visitors are invited to come and witness historic presentations, troop inspections, artillery demonstrations, military battles, children’s crafts and much more. See President Lincoln inspect his troops and deliver The Gettysburg Address!

Presidents Day at the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace in Los Angeles
February 17: Enjoy engaging programming and connect with adoptable pets. Children can take part in a special Presidents Day-themed scavenger hunt and win prizes, while supplies last.

Annual Presidents Day Celebration at the Reagan Library
February 17: This celebration offers fun for the whole family, including live music performances, impressionist demonstrations of some of America’s most memorable historical figures, Presidential Bingo, picnic games and more!

Presidents Day at the Nixon Library
February 17: Enjoy half-priced admission to the museum all day. The first 1,000 visitors receive a free slice of cherry pie. Visitors can meet and take photos with Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt.

Celebrate Presidents Day at Pretend City Children’s Museum
February 17: Enjoy a little patriotic adventure through the city while learning all about the role of the President.

Presidential Places to Go


Lincoln Memorial Shrine | Redlands
The Lincoln Memorial Shrine is a museum and research facility dedicated to Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War. The memorial commemorates the life of the 16th president with artwork and exhibits. Current exhibits include And the War Came, which commemorates the Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War and The Sultana Disaster, the worst maritime disaster in American history. While the memorial is normally closed on Mondays, they will be open on Monday, February 17th in honor of Presidents Day.



Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum | Yorba Linda
From his boyhood in Orange County to life in the White House, tour the presidential museum detailing the life and times of Richard Nixon. Enjoy tours of his original birthplace and boyhood home; walk through Marine One; take in the splendor an exact replica of President Nixon’s Oval Office; explore the Pat Nixon Gardens; and pay respects at the final resting places of President and Mrs. Nixon.



Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum | Simi Valley
Walk onboard the actual Air Force One aircraft, view a full-size replica of President Reagan’s Oval Office, a piece of The Berlin Wall, and a first-of-its-kind hologram of our nation’s 40th President. Special exhibit: Egypt’s Lost Cities, through April 12.
