We’re Going Bonkers for Bunnies!

We’re going bonkers for bunnies here at Kidsguide! There’s nothin’ like a lil’ bun fun with the family!

Celebrate Easter with the Easter Bunny
April 20-21: With Easter being this weekend, there’s a whole bunch of events where kids can meet the Easter bunny! Check out Kidsguide’s Calendar to see where the Easter bunny will be!

Wonderland Tea Party at South Coast Botanic Garden
Sunday, April 28: Put on your Cheshire grin and imagination cap (or top hat) for an adventure through the Garden’s wonderland of trails and hidden treasures. Your journey through the Garden will have you searching for real rabbit holes, playing an Eat Me, Drink Me game that will have you guessing which garden plants are edible, and sipping rose tea with your pinkies up in the Rose Garden.

The Velveteen Rabbit at South Coast Repertory
May 25 – June 30: For nearly a century, this beloved classic has captivated and charmed children and adults, alike. Lonely and forgotten, a stuffed rabbit longs to be real. When another toy is lost, he quickly becomes a little boy’s new favorite. As the rabbit’s dapper appearance gets worn and shabby from play, a wonderful change begins to happen. A moving story about the power of love – and a little bit of magic. SCR’s Theatre for Young Audiences series is specifically geared for ages 4 and up, and as a special treat, kids can meet the actors after every show.

The Bunny Museum in Altadena
Visit the hoppiest place on Earth! Discover how bunnies aren’t just for Easter. Bunnies are a part of our everyday lives. Got dust bunnies in your home? Remember rabbit ears antennas? Did you know the first animated TV show was about a bunny? Do you know what bunnies have to do with math? Do you know what magic has to do with bunnies? Do you know what a rabbet plane is? Hop on over to find out. Admission: $8-12. Free for children 4 and under.

Adopt a Bunny from Bunny Bunch Rabbit Rescue in Fountain Valley
The Bunny Bunch has lots of rabbits just waiting for a home of their own. To meet their rabbits just go to the Burrow during their open hours, no appointment is necessary. Plus, mark your calendar for their annual Bunny Expo, classes, photo shoots, “Hoppy Hour” and more!
