Who says libraries have to be a dusty, quiet place full of grown-ups?! Nope. Not these libraries. We found 5 awesome libraries that feature the coolest things that’ll have your kids wanting to come back!
This architectural gem located in downtown Los Angeles has an amazing Children’s Literature Department. This kid-friendly library is decorated with rich wood and colorful murals that take you back through California’s history.
Before entering this quaint, neighborhood library, take a stroll through the community garden! This library has a lively, colorful children’s space, but one of the coolest rooms is The Studio. The library’s studio features 3D printers and scanners, 3Doodler, Silhouette machines, iPads, iMac and PC desktop/laptop computers equipped with Adobe Creative Suite.
The Newport Beach Public Library features a massive children’s area with play rugs, puzzles, and toys. Don’t forget to check out the sculpture park and hang out with the giant bunny rabbits!
As one of the largest libraries in the OC, the Huntington Beach Central Library features an indoor garden, fountains, and huge floor-to-ceiling windows with relaxing views of surrounding nature.
