February 1-17: Wilbur is different from all the other Naked Mole Rats. He wears clothes – and he likes it. His friends think it’s ridiculous and needs to stop – that’s just a Naked Mole fact. After all, what will happen when Grand-Pah, the oldest and wisest elder in the colony finds out? Book, script and lyrics by Mo Willems, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience, is filled with tail-shaking good tunes. This outrageously fun musical proves it’s okay to be yourself. Rock on! Recommended for kids (grades K – 6), SCR’s Theatre for Young Audiences and Their Families is just that, a multi-generational experience for all ages (no children under the age of four and babes-in-arms). The only requirement is that each audience member occupies a seat and sits quietly through the performance while having a wonderful time. Captivating stories, wonderful performances, colorful sets and costumes – nothing compares to the way live theatre sparks the imagination! SCR’s Theatre for Young Audiences series is kid-friendly theatre, at family-friendly prices; and as a special treat, kids can meet the actors after every show. ASL-interpreted performance: Saturday, February 16, 2 p.m. Check website for show times, ticket prices, and discounts, including SCR’s pay-your-age special.
