Rocket Fish Swimming practices at the new Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach. Rocket Fish is a high-quality swim experience with an emphasis on two main goals: 1) character development and 2) stroke development for swimmers ages 5-14. As the swimmers progress, speed swimming is balanced with sportsmanship, team concept and self-awareness. The swim teachers/coaches are educated and enthusiastic water-people who return each year, providing brilliance and continuity. Their in-water teaching approach engages beginning swimmers and maximizes safety, comfort and learning progressions in the four competitive swim strokes. There are three practice levels per day (novice, intermediate and advanced). In spring and fall, Rocket Fish practices Monday – Friday afternoons, 4:15-7 p.m. Spring practices, which started in March, prepare swimmers for safety, swim meets and summer Jr. Lifeguards. Register on their website and show up ready to swim! In summer, Rocket Fish is a fresh energy, day-starting, morning swim team experience. Well-organized summer league swim meets, beach days, and spirited social events make Rocket Fish Summer an epic experience for the whole family. The summer session is from June 19 – August 11. Give your child the lifelong love of swimming while building confidence and competence in the water. Rocket Fish is a safe and positive character building environment in which to learn and love the sport of swimming! To register, visit the website or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
