Idyllwild Arts Summer Program
Designed for ages 5-12, programs provide a nurturing environment to explore creativity and performance in dance… theatre… writing… digital media… and more! Programming for teens is offered through their High School Intensives. The low student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 9:1 ensures that students receive special individual attention.
The Children’s Center and teen programs also give students ample time to enjoy physical activities and recreation, including short hikes, pool parties and game nights, all in the naturally beautiful setting with clean air, alpine forests, mountain meadows, and singing Strawberry Creek.
Family Week at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program provides the entire family – children, teens and adults, with intensive practical instruction in all of the visual arts.
Together, enjoy the campus’ indoor and outdoor theaters, art studios, dance studios and two dozen practice rooms, all equipped with pianos, and available for instruction and individual work.
Adult Arts Center
While the kiddos are in their programs, parents can explore their own interests in the Adult Arts Center. It’s a focused, yet relaxed setting, with instruction and personal attention to individual artistic needs in a community of fellow creatives. Instructors are experienced and interested in working with students of all levels and abilities.
Whether you’ve always wanted to learn about Medicinal Uses of California Native Plants, or finally take that class in Glass Blowing… Piano… Songwriting… Ceramics… Mixed Media… Metal Work… Film Making… Cuisine… here’s just the opportunity! View the complete list of courses for adults here.
