The YESS (Youth Empowerment and Self Sufficiency) program is for girls to learn leadership, economic literacy, and business skills by creating their own mini-society and opening up their own businesses. Open to current 3rd – 5th grade girls, the each day includes additional, structured Girls Inc. activities in science, technology, engineering and math; economic literacy; personal safety; health and wellness; and elective activities including arts, dance, cooking, sports and computers – all in a fun, hands-on environment. Run within the school of business at the Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship, the program offers girls the chance to work in an interactive environment with student entrepreneurs, and the girls gain exposure to a University setting, as Chapman University’s Argyros School of Business and Economics hosts the program. Four, Friday field trips are included, which will help girls meet real life entrepreneurs and learn more about what it takes to run their own business. July 9 – August, Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. Space is limited, so don’t miss out on the fun and register today!
