Fall Harvest at Underwood Farms
September 29 – October 31 | Moorpark
The 21st annual Fall Harvest Festival is chock full of family fun! Pick your own fruit and vegetables, ride around the farm in a wagon pulled by massive draft horses, see live performances and farm animals, and venture into a corn stalk maze! Also, experience a different theme each weekend. Daily, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. $15-20, weekends; $6, weekdays. Free parking. Visit the website for special weekend events.

 

Harvest Festival and Corn Maze
September 29 – October 31 | Mission Hills
Each Fall, they carve a maze out of corn stalks that reach way above your head. Come enjoy the day adventuring, navigating and having some good ol’ fashioned, down-on-the-farm fun! Over four acres of turns and deciding which path to take…but darn those dead ends! 2018’s design celebrates 100 years of John Deere. (This is NOT a haunted maze!) The Fall Harvest Festival is going on at the same time and includes pony rides, petting zoo, face painting, pumpkin patch, tractor-pulled train ride, farm frolic area and much more. Big Horse Feed Corn Maze and Harvest Festival
September 29 – October 28 | Temecula
Bring family and friends for old fashioned farm fun! Try your luck at SoCal’s largest corn maze. Enjoy the pumpkin patch and maze daily; on weekends, pony rides, hay rides, pillow jump, mini maze, animal sharing center, duck and pig races, rock wall, corn cannon, face painting, gem mining and more. Tuesday-Friday, 1-5 p.m.; and weekends, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (maze closes at 4 p.m. and activities close at 4:30 p.m.).

 

 

Harvest Festival Original Art and Craft Show
October 5-7 | Ontario
Boasting an array of more than 24,000 unique handmade items at affordable prices, it’s the shoppertunity that only comes around once a year. The show features exhibitors, live entertainment, strolling performers, a kids zone with interactive activities and specialty foods. Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Adults, $9; kids (13-17), $4; kids under 12, free. Ventura County Fairgrounds

 

Fall Festival Days at Golf N’ Stuff in Norwalk
October 6, 13, 20 and 27 | Norwalk
Kids (14 and under) will enjoy free face painting, free balloon art and a visit from King Putt! Additional activities and food prices vary. Fall Fest Hours, 2-6 p.m. Saturday Park hours, 10 a.m. – midnight.

 

Autumn Harvest Festival
October 6 | Lake Forest
Kids (12 and under) and their guardians enjoy an autumn festival with visits to Superhero Village, Under the Sea Adventure Maze, “Harry Potter” School House, trick-or-treat stations, and story telling. There will also be games, face painting, costume parade on stage, the ever popular Lake Forest All Stars Glow Party, Princess Pumpkin Patch and a movie screening of The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown. Kids are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their treat bags. Saturday, 4:30-8:30 p.m. $5 per person; children under 2 years are free. Heritage Hill Historical Park.

 

 

Acorn Day at O’Neill Regional Park
October 6 | Trabuco Canyon
Celebrate Acorn Day under the oaks at O’Neill Regional Park. It’s a free, family-friendly day of excitement and learning with activities for every age: a very special storytelling session with painting on water, free crafts for kids, live butterfly enclosure, games, face painting, live music and introductory ukulele lessons, nature and animal exhibits. Plus, a book signing with the author of “How to draw 60 Native CA Plants and Animals: A Field Guide”, live butterfly release and much more for the entire family! Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Free admission and parking.

 

Fall Festival at LA Farmers Market
October 13-14 | Los Angeles
A favorite event since 1934, the Fall Festival features a bounty of live music, petting zoo, old-time artisans, pie-eating contests, and photo cut-outs. Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

 

Antique Tractors at Underwood Farm
October 13-14 | Moorpark
See dozens of antique tractors up close, and don’t miss the tractor parades, animal show, pig races, live entertainment, harvester slide and photo ops. The event is part of the farm’s annual Fall Harvest Festival, daily through October 31. Saturday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.; festival is 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. $20. Free parking.

 

 

Hurst Ranch Harvest Festival
October 20 | West Covina
Join The Hurst Ranch for a magical garden tour, butter making, hay pitching, water pumping, farm chores, juice squeezing, pumpkin picking, coffee grinding, crafts, tours, antique cars exhibit, and a 1923 West Covina fire truck. Plus, woodworking projects, petting zoo, panning for gold, and a Native American Indian encampment. Saturday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. $5 per person; all activities are on a first-come, first served basis; reservations are made upon arrival and time slots are limited to the hour and half hour. Lunch available for purchase, or bring your own. Hurst Ranch Historical Center.

 

Free Harvesting Opportunities Family Festival and Resource Fair
October 20 | Anaheim
Enjoy this free, family harvest festival, while learning what the North Orange County Community College District School of Continuing Education has to offer you and your kids. The fun, family event will offer information on education, health and wellness, employment and more, plus prize drawings, food, entertainment, and book swap. A special Kids’ Zone will offer face painting, pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, games and a costume contest for ghosts and goblins ages 12 and under. Anaheim Campus. Saturday, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

 

Fall Harvest Festival in Aliso Viejo
October 20 | Aliso Viejo
Event includes children’s crafts, carnival games, balloon twisters, entertainment, complimentary hot dog BBQ and more! Wear your costume as you walk through the costume parade. Saturday, 10 a.m. – noon. Grand Park.

 

LA Fall Fair
October 26 – November 4 | South El Monte
Join 50,000+ families for unlimited carnival rides including a brand new bobsled roller coaster, games, live music (on weekends), arts and crafts, an international food court, and more. Wednesday-Thursday, 5-10 p.m. Friday, 5-11 p.m. Saturday, noon – 11 p.m. Sunday, noon – 10 p.m. $15; children under 36 inches are free. Free parking. La Prada Event Plaza (Whittier Narrows Park).

 

Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade
October 27 | Downtown Anaheim
The Anaheim Fall Festival has been entertaining families for generations! Watch the Halloween parade and Halloween Pooch Pawrade, and kids (12 and under) can enter the Kiddie Costume Contest. Saturday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Parade at 6 p.m. Find parade route on their website.

 

Fallbrook Harvest Fall Faire
October 28 | Fallbrook
The faire features crafts, food and treats, petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin contests, costume contest and parade, scarecrows, and live music. Free to attend. 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Harvestival Alternative Halloween Celebration at Calvary Chapel of the Harbour
October 31 | Huntington Beach
Enjoy a free barbecue, candy, games, bounce house, puppet show, face painting, crafts, and costume and carved pumpkin contests with prizes! Wednesday, 6-9 p.m. Free.
