March 30 – April 21: Pop into Spring Break with this bubble spectacular, featuring hands-on family fun, the return of Deni Yang and the Mega Bubblefest Laser Show. Bubblefest provides learners of all ages the opportunity to interact with bubble activities and learn more about the science behind the soapy fun.
March 17 – September 2: Get up close to beautiful butterflies at the Butterfly Pavilion. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHMLA) features more flight space, more resting spots, and more natural light. There will be hundreds of free-flying butterflies inside and Gallery Interpreters who can explain why they are so special.
March 10-31: Hop on over with family and friends to enjoy this fun and exciting Spring time event. Children can meet and have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny as well as participate in several activities that are located throughout the area.
March 23 – May 12: Our Hidden Jungle will be filled with thousands of colorful butterflies. Inside this rain forest greenhouse, you’ll see many varieties of butterflies above and around you.
March 1 – May 12: The nearly 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are in bloom for just six to eight weeks each year, bringing the famous fields back to life.
March 16 – April 30: Adopt a caterpillar in the Busy Bee Learning Store to experience the magic of metamorphosis.
Saturday and Sunday: Try your luck at finding the gold in the custom-designed Mission trough. They’ll supply the pan and the “gold;” kids roll up their sleeves and pan their way to riches.
March 30 – April 22: Celebrate Easter at Underwood Family Farms, with Easter Bunny photo opps, games, a kids’ corral, bee barn, hay pyramid, combine slide, tractor-drawn wagon ride, shows and antique tractor and machinery displays.
March 31: Girls (3+) hop in and celebrate spring’s arrival by sharing a sunny brunch and meeting the Easter Bunny!

March 29 – April 28: Knott’s Berry Farm is the birthplace of THE Boysenberry and each spring, Knott’s celebrates the flavorful berry and its historic roots during the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival with unique food and live entertainment.

January 26 – April 28: This new family exhibit will get you revved up with immersive activities for three generations of Hot Wheels fans. There’s something for mom, dad, grandparents and of course today’s youngest Hot Wheels fans as visitors learn about the science, technology, engineering, and math that goes into making cars go faster.
Monthly: Hike out to the Redwoods to enjoy a classic nature themed book under the canopy of our tallest trees while your family relaxes together on a blanket or towel.

Through April 21: Pompeii: Over 150 authentic artifacts on loan from the renowned Naples National Archaeological Museum in Italy. These are not replicas, but rather original, 2,000-year-old objects that were preserved in the ash after the catastrophic eruption.
March 23-24 and 30-31: SCR’s Theatre Conservatory presents a funny, heartfelt story about growing up, compassion and the importance of looking beyond the surface.
