FUN-Tastic Family Nights in Lakewood

March 1 and 29: Every day is a wonderful day to spend with your family! Come to The Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Lakewood and join your neighbors and friends at FUN-Tastic Family Nights.

Butterfly Jungle at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park

March 23 – May 12: Our Hidden Jungle will be filled with thousands of colorful butterflies. Inside this rain forest greenhouse, you’ll see many varieties of butterflies above and around you.

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

March 1 – May 12: The nearly 50 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus flowers that make up The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch are in bloom for just six to eight weeks each year, bringing the famous fields back to life.

Caterpillar Adoption Days at Kidspace

March 16 – April 30: Adopt a caterpillar in the Busy Bee Learning Store to experience the magic of metamorphosis.

Boysenberry Festival at Knott’s Berry Farm

March 29 – April 28: Knott’s Berry Farm is the birthplace of THE Boysenberry and each spring, Knott’s celebrates the flavorful berry and its historic roots during the Knott’s Boysenberry Festival with unique food and live entertainment.

Boone Children’s Gallery Storytimes at LACMA

Friday: LACMA staff reads folk tales and age-appropriate books on art and culture.

Teen Movies and Anime at Garden Grove Main Library

Fridays: Binge-watch anime during Teen Anime Club every first and third Friday, and see popular and not-so-popular films during Teen Flicks every second and fourth Friday (grades 7-12).

Orange County Parks Daily Activities

Daily: A monthly calendar of family-friendly hikes, walks, tours and more at parks in the Orange County Parks system.

LA County Science and Engineering Fair

March 29-30: The Los Angeles County Science & Engineering Fair provides a yearly setting for middle and high school students to show off their investigative skills and creativity to compete for medals, special awards and scholarships.

WonderCon 2019 at the Anaheim Convention Center

March 29-31: WonderCon is literally the sister show to Comic-Con International, embracing all the main aspects of that show, including comics, movies, TV, animation, the Masquerade, and more.

Fashionable Fundays at Fashion Camp

Fridays: Kids (7+) join Fashion Camp every Friday for a fun sewing workshop.

Hot Wheels: Race to Win Exhibit at Discovery Cube LA

January 26 – April 28: This new family exhibit will get you revved up with immersive activities for three generations of Hot Wheels fans. There’s something for mom, dad, grandparents and of course today’s youngest Hot Wheels fans as visitors learn about the science, technology, engineering, and math that goes into making cars go faster.

Last Fridays Teen Lounge Nights in Lake Forest

Last Fridays: Teens (11-14) give their parents a night off and celebrate good times with friends at the Recreation Center and Teen Lounge.

Photos with the Easter Bunny at Fashion Island

March 29 – April 20: The season’s favorite bunny will be available for photos in his spring garden.

13th Annual Creative Visions Exhibition

March 29 – April 9: The annual exhibition of student art presents works created by students from grades K-12 representing the Huntington Beach City School District, the Huntington Beach Union High School District, and the Ocean View School District.

Los Angeles Libraries Daily Story Times and Events

Daily: A monthly calendar of story times, crafts, homework help and family-friendly events at libraries in the Los Angeles library system.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

March 27 – April 14: Step inside a world of pure imagination as the Pantages Theatre unveils Roald Dahl’s classic tale.

Matilda The Musical in Thousand Oaks

March 22-31: Based on the novel by Roald Dahl, Tony Award-winning Matilda The Musical will dazzle audiences of all ages at the Civic Arts Plaza this spring.

March 29: Classic Old West songs from Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash are mixed with cutting-edge production in this family-friendly theatrical thrill ride.

Pompeii: The Exhibition at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum

Through April 21: Pompeii: Over 150 authentic artifacts on loan from the renowned Naples National Archaeological Museum in Italy. These are not replicas, but rather original, 2,000-year-old objects that were preserved in the ash after the catastrophic eruption.
