Glow-in-the-Dark Fun Run, Rucking, and More at Los Alamitos Race on the Base

February 22-23: Two-day event includes Glow-in-the-Dark Kids Run and free concert on Friday night; Honoring Our Fallen 5K Run/Walk, a new 5K Rucking Division, 10K Run, 10K Handcycle/Wheelchair, Jr. Reverse Triathlon, and Reverse Triathlon, on Saturday.

Free Shark Lagoon Night at the Aquarium of the Pacific

Select Fridays: The public is invited to get up close with the ocean’s ultimate predators at the Aquarium of the Pacific for free during Shark Lagoon Nights. Guests will have the opportunity to touch bamboo sharks and see large sharks such as sandtigers as well as rays.

James and the Giant Peach in Anaheim

February 15 – March 3: James Henry Trotter lives with two ghastly hags – his odious aunts – and he’s a very lonely little boy indeed. One day, something peculiar happens. At the end of the garden, a peach starts to grow and grow and grow.

Oliver! in Long Beach

February 8-24: The streets of Victorian England come to life in Lionel Bart’s classic musical based on Charles Dickens’ novel, Oliver Twist.

Fun Foodie Friday at Southern California Children’s Museum

Fridays: Kids (2+) make edible art using fruits and other foods donated by Trader Joe’s. Create a tasty masterpiece that looks and tastes good.

Pompeii: The Exhibition at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum

Through April 21: Pompeii: Over 150 authentic artifacts on loan from the renowned Naples National Archaeological Museum in Italy. These are not replicas, but rather original, 2,000-year-old objects that were preserved in the ash after the catastrophic eruption.

TK and Kindergarten Open House at St. Hedwig in Los Alamitos

February 22: Meet the St. Hedwig TK and kindergarten teachers and check out the classrooms. Children are welcome to attend with you. This will be a great opportunity to learn about their Transitional Kindergarten Program.
