There’s something for mom, dad, grandparents and of course today’s youngest Hot Wheels fans as visitors learn about the science, technology, engineering, and math that goes into making cars go faster.

Presidents Week Camp at the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach

February 18-21: Educational outdoor fun for campers in grades K-6. Each day, campers will participate in exciting, age-appropriate, hands-on activities. Full-day and half-day available.

The Secret Garden in Westminster

President’s Day Baking Mini Camp

February 18: Let your kids cook up some fun at Lil’ Chef School on their day off! Lil’ Chefs will learn knife skills, work together as a team to complete recipes and learn to properly measure wet and dry ingredients. On the menu is turkey melts with parmesan fries and cranberry buckle with a vanilla crumb topping.

Los Angeles Libraries Daily Story Times and Events

Daily: A monthly calendar of story times, crafts, homework help and family-friendly events at libraries in the Los Angeles library system.

Pompeii: The Exhibition at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum

Through April 21: Pompeii: Over 150 authentic artifacts on loan from the renowned Naples National Archaeological Museum in Italy. These are not replicas, but rather original, 2,000-year-old objects that were preserved in the ash after the catastrophic eruption.

Tidepool Walk to Little Treasure Cove at Crystal Cove State Park in Newport Beac

February 18: Enjoy a guided tidepool walk to Little Treasure Cove when the tide will fall to a super low -1.9. A volunteer will help identify animals and describe some awesome adaptations.

Celebrate Presidents Day at the Nixon Library

February 18: Meet the Presidents of Mount Rushmore and get free cherry pie! Half-priced admission to the Nixon Library and Museum all day. First 1,000 visitors receive a free slice of cherry pie. Meet and take photos with Presidents Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt all day!
