February 15-24: The 73rd annual Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival is focused on providing amazing entertainment and affordable family fun, with exciting shows, delicious fair food, concerts, a demolition derby and monster trucks, plus the traditional camel and ostrich races.

Lunar New Year Festival at Universal Studios

February 2-17: Celebrate the Year of the Pig during Lunar New Year at Universal Studios Hollywood. Kids Only Club: Have-A-Heart Anatomy Lab at Pennypickle’s Workshop in Temecula

February 15: Kids Only Club are drop-off events for children only. The kids do lots of fun stuff while parents have a couple hours to themselves! Have-A-Heart Anatomy Lab is probably not going to be the hearts-and-flowers-romantic-gooey kind of science… well, maybe the gooey part.

Hot Wheels: Race to Win Exhibit at Discovery Cube LA

January 26 – April 28: This new family exhibit will get you revved up with immersive activities for three generations of Hot Wheels fans. There’s something for mom, dad, grandparents and of course today’s youngest Hot Wheels fans as visitors learn about the science, technology, engineering, and math that goes into making cars go faster.

The Odd Market at The Autry

Third Fridays: Check out more than 60 pop-up shops and mobile boutiques at this monthly pop-up event, plus gourmet food trucks, live music, guest DJs and a kids’ area with inflatable attractions and a rock-climbing wall.

Teen Dodgeball Night in Cypress

Daily: A monthly calendar of story times, crafts, homework help and family-friendly events at libraries in the Los Angeles library system.

James and the Giant Peach in Anaheim

February 15 – March 3: James Henry Trotter lives with two ghastly hags – his odious aunts – and he’s a very lonely little boy indeed. One day, something peculiar happens. At the end of the garden, a peach starts to grow and grow and grow.

Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience at South Coast Rep

February 1-17: Wilbur is different from all the other Naked Mole Rats. He wears clothes – and he likes it. Filled with tail-shaking good tunes, this outrageously fun musical proves it’s okay to be yourself. Rock on!

Oliver! in Long Beach

February 8-24: The streets of Victorian England come to life in Lionel Bart’s classic musical based on Charles Dickens’ novel, Oliver Twist.

Fun Foodie Friday at Southern California Children’s Museum

Fridays: Kids (2+) make edible art using fruits and other foods donated by Trader Joe’s. Create a tasty masterpiece that looks and tastes good.

Pompeii: The Exhibition at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum

Through April 21: Pompeii: Over 150 authentic artifacts on loan from the renowned Naples National Archaeological Museum in Italy. These are not replicas, but rather original, 2,000-year-old objects that were preserved in the ash after the catastrophic eruption.

Valentine’s Parents’ Night Out
