September 16 – November 25: Have a one-of-a-kind experience in the only Spider Pavilion in the U.S. Get a glimpse of the private lives of spiders in the open-air pavilion that is designed as a safe space to get up close to these amazing arachnids.
November 10: Annual Veterans Day Parade, featuring bands and live entertainment, plus a kids corner with arts and crafts, tournaments and games.
Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.
Daily: Movies at discounted prices.
Saturday and Sunday: Try your luck at finding the gold in the custom-designed Mission trough. They’ll supply the pan and the “gold;” kids roll up their sleeves and pan their way to riches.
September 16 – November 30: Can you locate the bird houses inhabited by parrots, owls, blue birds and hawks to collect their clues and find the missing pumpkin patch?
November 10 & 17: All aboard for a hilarious, outrageous afternoon murder mystery comedy performed while you enjoy the railway’s signature Orange Blossom Chicken three-course lunch.
Second and Fourth Saturday: Meet a nature guide at the Nature Center for a wonderful free tour through the garden.
November 10: A fun, socializing dance just for teens (grades 7-8). This year’s theme is #twinning.
November 4-5, 10-12: Thomas, Percy, and Sir Topham Hatt are back and ready for big adventures, and even bigger memories with all their friends!
March 24 – January 6, 2019: A new chapter of ancient Egyptian history will be unearthed to the world with the debut of KING TUT: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh, an exclusive exhibition celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the discovery of his tomb.
November 2-18: Come along as Nate the Great searches for clues and gathers the facts in this clever, new musical that teaches us to see the world in new ways. Plus, kids can meet the actors after every show.
November 9-11 and 16-18: Based on Louisa May Alcott’s American classic, this timeless and captivating story is brought to life as a musical, presented by Long Beach Landmark Theatre Company.
Saturdays: 100% interactive music time! Children learn rhymes of all kinds, sing silly songs, and are encouraged to wiggle and move.
Through December 29: Audiences of all ages can delight in a little theme park-style magic at the Shrine with Reflections of the Face of Lincoln, an immersive presentation featuring special effects, multi-media elements, and spectacular animatronics in a moving portrait of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era.
Saturdays: Families can enjoy this free activities program, PlayClub! Each PlayClub event will be a different fun activity that families can enjoy with their kids!
