September 16 – November 25: Have a one-of-a-kind experience in the only Spider Pavilion in the U.S. Get a glimpse of the private lives of spiders in the open-air pavilion that is designed as a safe space to get up close to these amazing arachnids.
November 3 – December 29: Visit The Old Globe for Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas! A wonderful, whimsical musical based upon the classic Dr. Seuss book.
Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.
November 1 – January 15: Downtown Santa Monica brings a little ice to the beachside community with ICE.

Fridays: Every Friday night is Date Night with Frogg’s Bounce House. Drop the kids off and enjoy a night out!
Fridays: Friday Knight Tournaments give students a chance to flex their mental muscles and see if their queen is the meanest queen in town!

Friday and Saturday: Parents drop off the kids and enjoy a night out on their own. Three hours of awesome games on the custom server and game maps with favorite BrainStorm instructors.
Every other Friday: Parents’ drop off the kids (4+) for a night of activities, games, pizza, snacks, drinks, a movie and whole lot of bouncing fun.
Select Fridays: Kids (4-10) enjoy a delicious dinner, plus games, crafts and movies, while parents enjoy a night out without the kiddos.
Fridays: Kids (7+) join Fashion Camp every Friday for a fun sewing workshop.
November 1-12: Join Circus Vargas for a swashbuckling circus spectacular, “Dreaming of Pirates.” Flying trapeze artists, clowns, daredevils, death-defying acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, comedians, motorcycles and more. Plus, interactive preshow for the kids!
November 9: Santa Claus makes his way from the North Pole. Enjoy his grand entrance, plus carolers, a 45-foot tree and magic snow.
Daily: A monthly calendar of story times, crafts, homework help and family-friendly events at libraries in the Los Angeles library system.
November 8-11: Little Shop of Horrors tells the story of a down-and-out floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood.
November 2-18: All Clara wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother.
Select days, November – January: Joy is in Season at the Knott’s Merry Farm Holiday Festival. Guests of all ages can embrace the joy of Christmas at Knott’s Merry Farm, with classic shows like the Holiday Ice Show featuring Snoopy, the Peanuts Gang and a cast of world class ice skaters, the nightly tree lighting ceremony and The Christmas Carol.
March 24 – January 6, 2019: A new chapter of ancient Egyptian history will be unearthed to the world with the debut of KING TUT: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh, an exclusive exhibition celebrating the 100-year anniversary of the discovery of his tomb.
November 2-18: Come along as Nate the Great searches for clues and gathers the facts in this clever, new musical that teaches us to see the world in new ways. Plus, kids can meet the actors after every show.
November 9: Penn & Teller is one of the most mesmerizing and enduring acts. They have defied labels-and at times physics and good taste-by redefining the genre of magic and inventing their own very distinct niche in comedy.
November 9-11 and 16-18: Based on Louisa May Alcott’s American classic, this timeless and captivating story is brought to life as a musical, presented by Long Beach Landmark Theatre Company.
Fridays: Kids (2+) make edible art using fruits and other foods donated by Trader Joe’s. Create a tasty masterpiece that looks and tastes good.
Second Fridays: Drop your kids off and enjoy a night out! Kids will enjoy a pizza party dinner with a drink, parkour training, ninja warrior obstacle courses, games, legos and nerf, trampoline and foam pit, a movie, and more!
Through December 29: Audiences of all ages can delight in a little theme park-style magic at the Shrine with Reflections of the Face of Lincoln, an immersive presentation featuring special effects, multi-media elements, and spectacular animatronics in a moving portrait of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era.
November 1-30: Kids can participate in a variety of activities depending on the special event. Activities this month focus on gratitude, family and the importance of being thankful for the many blessings in our lives.
October 26-January 6: A fantasy of light transforms the Arboretum into an evening wonderland. Magnificent lantern art depicting exotic animals, shimmering flowers, whimsical pandas, soaring dragons and more!
November 8-10: This event features 150 handcraft artists, confectioners, bakers and beautiful selections of holiday decor, ornaments and gifts, tamales, hand-dipped decorated apples and more!
