Kids’ Activities at the Downtown Fullerton Market

Thursdays: The Fullerton Market is the place to come and enjoy fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, handcrafted artisan products, live music and entertainment, plus crafts and activities at the Kids’ Korner and food vendors.

Spider Pavilion at the Natural History Museum

September 16 – November 25: Have a one-of-a-kind experience in the only Spider Pavilion in the U.S. Get a glimpse of the private lives of spiders in the open-air pavilion that is designed as a safe space to get up close to these amazing arachnids.

Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas in San Diego

November 3 – December 29: Visit The Old Globe for Dr. Seuss How the Grinch Stole Christmas! A wonderful, whimsical musical based upon the classic Dr. Seuss book.

Apple Season in Oak Glen

Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.

Outdoor Ice Skating in Santa Monica

November 1 – January 15: Downtown Santa Monica brings a little ice to the beachside community with ICE.

Little Naturalist Programs at Environmental Nature Center

Select dates, November 8-30: Little Naturalist programs are outdoor experiential education classes designed for 3 5 year olds and their adult guardians. Activities are designed to encourage exploration and discovery and to enrich a child’s emerging physical and cognitive skills.

The Great Pumpkin Hunt South Coast Botanic Gardens

September 16 – November 30: Can you locate the bird houses inhabited by parrots, owls, blue birds and hawks to collect their clues and find the missing pumpkin patch?

Reflections of the Face of Lincoln in Redlands

Through December 29: Audiences of all ages can delight in a little theme park-style magic at the Shrine with Reflections of the Face of Lincoln, an immersive presentation featuring special effects, multi-media elements, and spectacular animatronics in a moving portrait of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era.
