Spider Pavilion at the Natural History Museum

September 16 – November 25: Have a one-of-a-kind experience in the only Spider Pavilion in the U.S. Get a glimpse of the private lives of spiders in the open-air pavilion that is designed as a safe space to get up close to these amazing arachnids.

Spooky Science at Discovery Cube OC & LA

October 6-31: Calling all ghouls and goblins! Spend this Halloween season dressed up and ready to explore at Discovery Cube’s Spooky Science exhibit!

Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Park Railroad

September 15 – October 31: Pick the perfect pumpkin, go on a train or hay ride, race on tractors, play a carnival game, decorate cookies, or the ponies, jump around in a bounce house, wander through the hay maze or the haunted house, get your face painted, pan for gold, and more.

Kids’ Free Month at San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park

October 1-31: Throughout the month of October, children 11 years old and younger receive free admission.

Apple Season in Oak Glen

Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.

Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch in Irvine

September 22 – October 31: Pick your own pumpkin right off the vine, take a wagon ride around the 30-acre farm, and visit the corn maze and petting zoo.

Pumpkinpalooza at ZOOMARS

September 15 – October 31: Pick pumpkins, pet Zoomar’s collection of animals, ride ponies, pan for gemstones and more.

Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park

September 20 – October 31: Scary Farm (13+) features 14 haunted attractions and over a thousand costumed monsters roaming the park.

The Nightmare Before Christmas 4D in Hollywood

October 22-31: The beloved stop-motion animated film tells the story of Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who stumbles across neighboring Christmas Town and sets out to fill Santa’s big shoes. Watch in spine-tingling 4-D.

Harvest Festival and Corn Maze in Mission Hills

September 29 – October 31: Enjoy the Harvest Fest and 4 acres of Super Farmer Corn Maze.

Peltzer Farms Pumpkin Farm in Temecula

September 23-October 31: The farm features all fall activities including pumpkins, digging in the Peltzer Mine, pig races, train rides, pony rides and a petting farm.

Fall Harvest at Underwood Farms in Moorpark

September 29 – October 31: The 21st annual Fall Harvest Festival is chock full of family fun!Pick your own fruits and vegetables, ride around the farm in a wagon pulled by massive draft horses, see live performances and farm animals, and venture into a corn stalk maze!

The Great Pumpkin Hunt South Coast Botanic Gardens

September 16 – November 30: Can you locate the bird houses inhabited by parrots, owls, blue birds and hawks to collect their clues and find the missing pumpkin patch?

Dia de los Muertos at Grand Park LA

October 28 – November 4: Grand Park celebrates the traditions of Da de los Muertos with multiple ways to experience and learn about the holiday.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Culver City

October 5-30: Families enjoy a petting zoo, bounce house, pony rides, face painting, super slide, straw maze, pumpkin decorating, Capt. Billy Bones’ Jump & Fly, and a giant rocking horse (great photo op!).

Kids’ Club at Bella Terra

Mondays: Kids can take a break from shopping and join in a morning of craft tables, princesses, super heroes, music, petting zoos and more in the Bella Terra Amphitheater! Monday, 10:30 a.m. Free.

Los Angeles Haunted Hayride

September 29 – October 31: Recommended for ages 12+. Horrifying creatures lurk in Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, an Iconic Hollywood tradition that remains unparalleled and unmatched.

October 25 – November 2: Attend a Pre-Columbian Novenario procession and blessings nightly. Then, on November 1 and 2, enjoy beautifully decorated altars, art exhibits and entertainment.

October 12-14, 18-21 and 25-31: Join them this October for a fun-filled Halloween season. This fall features YMCA Haunted Maze, the annual Zombie Walk, a Red Cross Blood Drive, and Trick or Treating.

September 14 – November 3: The movie studio that invented the horror genre brings to life all-new immersive worlds of living, breathing icons from the most twisted imaginations in film and television.

September 28 – October 31: A fun place for the enire family, you’ll find a large variety of pumpkins to choose from, plus haystacks, corn stalks and gourds. Enjoy the snack bar, pony ride, petting zoo, games and rides, all in a country fair atmosphere.

October 1-31: Find thousands of pumpkins to choose from, and enjoy fun activities for the kids, including slides, bouncers and kiddie rides.

Dark Harbor at the Queen Mary in Long Beach

September 27 – November 2: Recommended for ages 12+. The Queen Mary promises the most intense season of SoCal’s most authentic haunted attraction, Dark Harbor.

Reflections of the Face of Lincoln in Redlands

Through December 29: Audiences of all ages can delight in a little theme park-style magic at the Shrine with Reflections of the Face of Lincoln, an immersive presentation featuring special effects, multi-media elements, and spectacular animatronics in a moving portrait of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era.
