October 6-31: Calling all ghouls and goblins! Spend this Halloween season dressed up and ready to explore at Discovery Cube’s Spooky Science exhibit!

Spider Pavilion at the Natural History Museum

September 16 – November 25: Have a one-of-a-kind experience in the only Spider Pavilion in the U.S. Get a glimpse of the private lives of spiders in the open-air pavilion that is designed as a safe space to get up close to these amazing arachnids.

Tustin Tiller Days

October 5-7: Tustin Tiller Days is an annual three-day celebration featuring carnival rides, a parade, entertainment, culinary delights, sports zone, and much more.

Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Park Railroad

September 15 – October 31: Pick the perfect pumpkin, go on a train or hay ride, race on tractors, play a carnival game, decorate cookies, or the ponies, jump around in a bounce house, wander through the hay maze or the haunted house, get your face painted, pan for gold, and more.

SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular

September 22 – October 28: Enjoy silly spooky shows, delightful Halloween dance parties and trick-or-treating in a safe, family-friendly environment.

Boo at the Los Angeles Zoo

Weekends in October: The Los Angeles Zoo offers families and Halloween lovers a range of seasonal activities and learning opportunities at Boo at the L.A. Zoo.

Kid’s Wild Night Out at the San Diego Zoo

Saturdays: Join the Zoo for a wild night out with Dr. Zoolittle and animal friends. Hang for a few hours, and meet some amazing animals, create cool Zoo crafts, play games, enjoy a snack, and much more.

Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Fridays – Sundays, September 15 – October 28: Halloween-themed “Fright Fest” runs with low-scare areas for younger kids.

September 29 and October 6, 13, 20, and 27: Brick-or-Treat Party Nights at Legoland California Resort is back with more Halloween excitement.

Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival

October 6-7: Head down to the 25th Annual Pumpkin Festival, where you can choose from thousands of pumpkins right out of the patch.

Apple Season in Oak Glen

Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.

Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch in Irvine

September 22 – October 31: Pick your own pumpkin right off the vine, take a wagon ride around the 30-acre farm, and visit the corn maze and petting zoo.

Pumpkinpalooza at ZOOMARS

September 15 – October 31: Pick pumpkins, pet Zoomar’s collection of animals, ride ponies, pan for gemstones and more.

Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park

September 20 – October 31: Scary Farm (13+) features 14 haunted attractions and over a thousand costumed monsters roaming the park.

Aquarium Kids Fun Run in Long Beach

October 6: Up to 2,000 kids ages five to twelve can race in the Aquarium Kids Fun Run. Participants will receive a commemorative marine animal medal, a finisher certificate, and free Aquarium admission.

Night of the Living Dead in Fullerton

October 5-28: A group of panicked survivors are barricaded in a deserted farmhouse while a horde of flesh-eating zombies hovers outside their door.

Orange County Auto Show in Anaheim

October 4-7: Gather the kids to see over 600 of the hottest new cars and trucks all in one place, including new hybrids, electric cars and concept cars, plus a kids test track, racing simulators, scavenger hunt and food trucks.

Oktoberfest in Anaheim
