Pumpkinpalooza at ZOOMARS

September 15 – October 31: Pick pumpkins, pet Zoomar’s collection of animals, ride ponies, pan for gemstones and more.

Long Beach Firefighters’ Museum Open House

Second Saturdays and Wednesdays: Pumping demonstrations, antique displays and tours of old Fire Station No. 10.

Spider Pavilion at the Natural History Museum

September 16 – November 25: Have a one-of-a-kind experience in the only Spider Pavilion in the U.S. Get a glimpse of the private lives of spiders in the open-air pavilion that is designed as a safe space to get up close to these amazing arachnids.

Pumpkin Patch at Irvine Park Railroad

September 15 – October 31: Pick the perfect pumpkin, go on a train or hay ride, race on tractors, play a carnival game, decorate cookies, or the ponies, jump around in a bounce house, wander through the hay maze or the haunted house, get your face painted, pan for gold, and more.

Los Angeles County Fair

August 31 – September 23: Visit the fair where everyone is bound to have a good time! Featuring exhibits and contests, live animals and shows, kids’ activities, historic trains, a family marketplace, plus plenty of crafts, rides, games and food!

Dolby Theatre Guided Tours

Daily: See an Oscar statuette, visit the Dolby Lounge and other celebrity hot-spots, and see images from previous Academy Awards ceremonies.

Festival of Children Celebration at South Coast Plaza

Weekends in September: The festival aims to help educate the community about the programs benefiting the children of Orange County, featuring more than 75 charities.

Apple Season in Oak Glen

Through late November: Working apple orchards in Oak Glen, a mountain town halfway between Riverside and Palm Springs, open their doors to the public. Some offer U-pick apples.

Movie Deals and Theater Child Care

Daily: Movies at discounted prices.

Read with the Dogs in Fullerton

Wednesdays: Drop by the children’s library and read to therapy dogs. The library will have plenty of books available

The Great Pumpkin Hunt South Coast Botanic Gardens

September 16 – November 30: Can you locate the bird houses inhabited by parrots, owls, blue birds and hawks to collect their clues and find the missing pumpkin patch?

Tour Angels Stadium in Anaheim

Ongoing: Join the Halos for a behind-the-scenes tour of baseball’s fourth-oldest stadium, including areas normally restricted to the public.

Weekly Tea Time at Dream Come True Party Room

Wednesdays: Tea time includes dress-up play from the castle wardrobe, pastries, tea or juice in fancy teacuops, plus etiquette and storytelling

Parent and Me Time at the Shipley Nature Center

Wednesdays: Kids and thier parents enjoy nature, story time and crafts at the nature center.

Tours at Dominguez Rancho

June 18: Head to the rancho each month for guided tours and gain new knowledge about California’s history.

Wednesday and Fridays: Kids (7+) join Fashion Camp every Friday for a fun sewing workshop.

Dodgers Stadium Tour in Los Angeles

Ongoing: This behind-the-scenes tour lets fans visit some of the most restricted and non-public areas and view the Stadium from a whole new perspective.

Open Studio Maker Session in Santa Ana

Wednesday: During the summer, Child Creativity Lab for Creative Reuse Open Studio Maker Sessions are held every Wednesday. Kids have access to makerspace materials, supplies, and workshop space.

Reflections of the Face of Lincoln in Redlands

Through December 29: Audiences of all ages can delight in a little theme park-style magic at the Shrine with Reflections of the Face of Lincoln, an immersive presentation featuring special effects, multi-media elements, and spectacular animatronics in a moving portrait of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era.
