Summer Reading Programs

June 1 – August 15: Many libraries offer homework help, including academic workshops and story times. Plus, join the Summer Reading Program, June 1 – August 15. Young readers (kids and teens) at most Los Angeles County and Orange County libraries will enjoy a “Build a Better World” theme.

Dolby Theatre Guided Tours

Daily: See an Oscar statuette, visit the Dolby Lounge and other celebrity hot-spots, and see images from previous Academy Awards ceremonies.

Regal’s Summer Movie Express

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, June 19 – August 15: This 9-week festival offers G and PG-rated movies for only $1 starting at 10 a.m. Check with individual theaters for titles.

U-Pick Melon Tours at Tanaka Farms

June 1 – August 31: Take a guided wagon ride around the farm, stop at different areas and try different summer fruits and vegetables, and finally step into the melon patch to sample delicious home grown melon.

Kids Bowl Free All Summer Long

Daily: Kids Bowl Free returns for its 11th summer! Kids across North America can bowl for free all summer long at one of 1,300+ participating bowling centers.

June 18 – August 22: Bring a lawn chair, blanket, picnic style dinner and the whole family for screening of family-friendly movies all summer long at neighborhood parks across Long Beach.

Twilight Summer Concerts in Downey

Wednesdays, June 20 – July 25: Bring chairs and a picnic and enjoy food vendors and a concert in the park, with a different performer each week.

Read with the Dogs in Fullerton

Wednesdays: Drop by the children’s library and read to therapy dogs. The library will have plenty of books available

Concert in the Park in Tustin

June 13 – August 1: Pack a picnic basket or buy food from local non-profit vendors. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the show.

San Diego County Fair

June 1 – July 4: Grab your cowboy hat, pull on your boots, and ride on over to this year’s San Diego County Fair to celebrate another year of fair fun.

Tour Angels Stadium in Anaheim

Ongoing: Join the Halos for a behind-the-scenes tour of baseball’s fourth-oldest stadium, including areas normally restricted to the public.

Nature Nights in Anaheim

June 20 – August 15: Join Oak Canyon naturalists on Wednesday nights and enjoy a twilight walk led by our staff naturalists, followed by a presentation.

Kids Happy Hour at Dream Come True Party Room

Most Wednesdays: Time for the kiddos to unwind from a long day. Stop by for dress-up from the castle wardrobe, face painting, snacks and crafts.

Bowlmor Season Passes
